Help?

hello my name is mary...im so happy i found this forum. I am really trying to improve my eating/exercising. I am 20 years old...5"4' 133 lbs. Ever since i was a little girl i dreamed of being a fitness model or model in magazines such as Fitness or Shape. It just something i have in the back of my mind...but thats the thing...i push it in the back because i dont believe i could reach that goal. I dont want to get HUGE muscles...just look completely healthy and toned. Right now i have a lot of work to do...i eat 3 meals a day and just got over a binge eating problem...to lose weight i usually do bad things to my body like skip meals . I am addicted to sweets and it makes me feel horrible. I want to eat MORE in a day and eat food packed with nutrients. DOes anyone know some things i can do as a beginner to research this....websites/books....i have a lot of knowledge of healthy eating but i need more...i dont know what foods to eat and when to eat them.

Honestly....do you all think i am the wrong candidate for this...should this just remain a dream...would i be wasting my time????

A dream remains a dream so long as no action is put forth. The moment you take action the dreams turns to a goal.

You can have a slim/toned fitness model-type figure. But as you already know and mentioned... a lot of work goes into it. A lot of nutrition and training knowledge is needed. I don't want to downplay that. :p

There is a book by Tom Vento called It's sort of the Bible of learning the truth about nutrition and fitness. I recommend you start there and then branch off into more in-depth readings.

It's excellent that you have those dreams. I had dreams to become a fitness competitor and I was far from where I needed to be to get up onstage. I got myself there though. It just took a lot of work!
If you want your goals to begome a reality you have to start setting small goals for yourself. That may be adding a 4th meal to your day and balancing your foods better, or finding diversions to keep you away from sweets, or going to the gym a couple times a week. Accomplish one goal, then move on to the next.

Don't worry about getting huge muscles. Not going to happen. Our bodies can't accidentally end up looking like a body builder's.

Please let me know if I can help you at all!
