Help i dont know if im doing the right thing...I'm 14 yrs old about to be 15 and im 5'8 weight 138 lbs and idk if the workout im doing is right for me because my mom is a personal trainer and she says im working out with too much weight,and im a soccer player,and a sprint runner too,and i wanna look big but i dont wanna get slower i heard weight training for ur upper body is good for sprinters and soccer players,well here is my work out:
monday-Bench press-3 sets of 8 reps
-Incline b press-3 sets of 8 reps
-bicep curls-3 sets of 8
-triceps-skull crushers or sumthing like that-3 sets of 8 reps
Tuesday-Abs or just rest
Wensday-i work on shoulders,back,and trapezoids
Friday-Abs or rest
SAturday-Mons work out
sun-abs or rest
Mon-Wedns work out
and i keep doing it like that and it have shown good progress i'v gained 17 pounds in muscle,but my mom keeps saying its bad for me,for example my bench press i work out with 125 lbs 8 reps 3 sets,and ssometimes i go to 135 lbs 6 reps 3 sets,so plz help on what i can start doing or making a change,thanx
