Help needed

Hey there, I have made a few posts already on building on muscle side of things, but before I do any of that, I need to loose some serious weight and I really need some help from people with past knowledge and some advice would be awesome !

Im a 16 year old male
Weight - 12.7
Height - 6ft

I dont really know a decent aim, and a good weight in stone to start pulling weights... I need suggestions (guessing round the 8-ish area)
My real issue is chest, stomach area and bum, My arms and legs are well built I suppose, no real fat, arms are fairly muscley...

So I need some real help, if you could spare some, I need to know what to eat, a good routine, what types of food ? what to eat in morning, snacks, lunch and tea... Im prepared to buy special diet foods if needed.

Last thing, is there any excersises I can do to help me on the way ?

Thanks alot for reading ! wg0

Im going to break it down ...

Last thing, any excersises I can do to reduce chest and stomach area?

Thanks again, wg00

Hi,

I'm a complete idiot when it comes to exercises :p

but I would recommend you to try Oolong Tea, friend of mine recommended it to me and I've seen that he actually lose some weight just by drinking it regularly without regular exercise/going to the gym.

I've been drinking oolong tea for 3 weeks now, no side effects so far, and it actually works wonder to help me lose some weight... plus it has more antioxidants than those found in green tea...

Drinking tea (no matter what type) will not, and I repeat, will not make one lose weight.

One can lose weight without exercising, because the energy balance can still be tipped to the negative side without it.

One cannot, however, lose weight without some sort of manipulation of the diet.

Bottom line: your friend lost weight with some sort of manipulation within the diet, and not from a tea drink.

Tea?

Ok, the only way the tea could be helping is that it helps to make you feel full for longer. No magic properties in the tea cut calorie absorption. If you want to try some kind of mind trick to help you eat less I recommend drinking a glass of water before eating. You'll feel full more quickly, especially if you sip water with your food too.

Basically, you need to find you BMR, Basal Metabolic Rate. That number is the amount of calories you burn by simply being alive, without moving an inch. Of course you must factor in activity level and TEF, Thermal Effect of Feeding. Research all this, you will find plenty of info. In the end, you will have a calorie number, you need to reduce it by 500 calories, and consistently eat in that range. Your body will be in a deficit, and use fat stores for energy, and you will lose fat. Eat plenty of veggies, plenty of protein at every meal, eat said meals 5-7 times a day, and don't forget healthy fats. Natural peanut butter, flax oil, fish oil, olive oil...

For weights, stick to heavy, lower rep compounds. Deadlifts, squats, bench press, rows, pullups, lunges, etc. Lift heavy, you need to give your body a reason to keep the muscle while losing the fat!

I think one of the funniest things I've seen was on Aqua Teen Hunger force where this dude bought these "diet" bars that are supposed to help him lose weight. He lost like tons of weight and continued to lose weight until he finally died. French fries (or whatever the heck his name is) read the labels on the "diet" bars and saw that it said it had worms in it. So he lost the weight not from the bar, but from the worms.

Read the sticky around here. They have several helpful hints on what to eat. Basically, stick with lean meat, fish, and chicken. Eat plenty of fruits and veggies. Avoid soda products, stick with water only, and avoid fast food like the plague.

One of the most painful thing to realize is when you find out that there's no such thing as a spot reducing exercise. You can tone the areas around your chest and stomach, but it's going to do nothing until you lose the fat.

Try exercises such as squats, deadlifts, and benches to get the most out of your exercise.
