Help calculating my caloric intake

My BMR is 1,896

I then multiplied it by 40%, because according to a website thats what I should do if I exercise most days of the week.

Then I added the result (758.4) to my BMR which gave me 2654.40

So I should have 2654.40 calories per day to maintain my weight and less than that to lose weight, right?
 
It is not an exact science however yes this is the approach that seems to be most accepted. It is always a good idea however to monitor you weight in the early stages as people often tend to overestimate their activity level.
