Help, all my work is going to go down th toilet!

I have been following a rigourous training scehdule, working out 4x a week for the past 3 months....Only recently (within the last week), my ankle has been KILLING me....this may be due to my adding a cardio session for a total of 45 minutes a session X 4 sessions a week.... I went to the doctor, and apparently I have Achilles Tendonitis, and can not under any circumstances work out for a while. While I know that my body can not take working out for a period of time until this condition gets better, I am somewhat nervous that all of my efforts in the ast 3 months will have been for naught....What should I do in the interim time from now until I can resume my normal fitness regimen? Thanks

it takes a hell long time to lose muscle. the best way to maintain what u already have would probably be to eat as much protein as possible.

As Shinra said, the most important thing would be to maintain a good diet while not working out. Also, though, can you do other types of exercises that are not dependant upon your ankle? Maybe you can do a rowing machine or swim a few laps in a pool for exercise. If you can't do any cardio, you probably still can do upper body weight training exercises. Maybe you can focus on weight training instead of cardio until your ankle heals.
