Hello, want some help about creatine while cutting.

I am cutting at the moment seems the best time to do it seen as its summer now but i just want to ask you lot if i can take creatine while i am cutting or should i avoid it. And also can anyone explain in normal people english (lol)what creatine is and what it does it to your body. Thanks Alot

I'm not too knowledgable about things like this yet, but I'll tell you what I know and then someone else can add to it later.

Creatine shouldn't be taken whilst cutting, simply because it has no use to you during this stage. What it does is make your muscles retain more water and so increase in size (meaning you need to drink a lot more to keep yourself hydrated). It also allows you to push a few more reps past what you could normally do whilst lifting weights, which I think is to do with some sort of energy boost that it gives you.
So in summary, Creatine is more geared towards bulking than cutting, but also doesn't work for everyone.

Creatine does make you retain water, but then again so does sodium. So if you're going to stop taking creatine because of that, then you should limit your salt intake also :). Creatine is an amino acid, an amino acid is what makes up a protein. But creatine also gives you more energy, to help you bump up your intensity. That extra "push" could also help you boost your metabolism more during lifting, which would help you lose fat. So it could go either way, IMO you should keep taking it.

Gets more ATP to your muscles, so you get dilated blood flow and more energy so you can push yourself harder. I'd keep it going for cutting.
