lost internet connection for about a week or so ... weight as of this morn was 194.2 ... BUT i did eat out yesterday and had pizza ... BUT im working out on a regular basis so .. now that i have the net back ... i can get back on track .. funny how without this site i lost sight of what i was doing ... well im back and ready to go :D
 
Well done for losing so far!

I know the deal with staying away from the site and then slipping a bit. When you've settled in, challenges can keep you focused.

Also pizza = sodium can mean water weight so don't worry.

I just had a chance to read your diary, and I know how overwhelming it can be at first. I find that doing small changes one at a time is easier to stick too
You seem to be doing great. Are you counting calories or simply watching what you eat? In my case I don't really use anything with sweetner or "Low Fat " option I tend to stick to naturally lower fat foods, like when I have pizza I will eat 1 slice with a salad also I eat vegi Pizza with out peperonni there is less calories in it (I don't red meat ) Stick to your workout and eat well, you will learn as you go what works for you, cause you have to be able to live with the life style that you choose!
 
Yeah I know what you mean, I did the same thing... but I was away from the site for a year... oopsie! lol

Today was ok ate WAY ... too much .. felt like i was hungry all day. Getting ready to work out even tho its 1 am .. my sleep schedule is a lil better then it used to be .. but starting monday ... im up before ten am everymorning LOL.

I have trouble sleeping next to my husband cuz he moves SOOO much lol ... so i normally just sleep a different schedule but monday he starts a new job and we are going to bed and gettin up together ... any tips on how to get DEEEEEEP sleep ?? Im SUCH a light sleeper. Anyway thats all for now :) See you all tom
 
Sorry I can't help you there, I'm in the same situation. It may help if you went to bed first and fell asleep first. I know when my husband is up late playing games and I get to fall asleep first I tend to wake up less, still wake up, but less! So maybe give that a shot.
 
Todays weight 194.6 .. stupid sodium lol

Only slept 4 hrs last night ... so i drank pop today... All to be able to go to sleep at a decent time tonight .. its 9:30 and im pretty sure I will be laying down before 10 :)

Todays food was ok, i was in my calorie range and ate four small meals throughout the day ... which wasnt too bad considering i just wanted to eat to stay awake and yesterdays cals were over 2000 (WOW)

No exersize today, first day since i started exercising that I didnt .. but tom im up bright and early and have LOTS to do.

Thats all for now, hope all is well with all of you :D
 
Weighed in today at 194.6. That means I GAINED .6 lbs BUT .. i ate crappy all week and I did start working out to maybe its muscle. Decided Id weigh in on sundays since its the end of the week. And I think i actually got back onto a normal sleep pattern .. tonight is night two .. we will see how it goes :)

I weight myself only once a week because I would get to discourage by the up and down everyday. It's nice that you are getting down to a better sleep patern maybe that will help with deeper sleep. Have you ever tried a sleep mask, my husband doesn't sleep well if he doesn't have one (he is deaf so noise not an issue for him but light from a alarm clock bother him) je says that he sleep deeper with it on. I like doing some strecing before going to bed I used to have a pm yoga dvd that really help me sleep well until out dog chewed it. Hopefully this helps you out!

Awww the puppy ate ur dvd !! Thanks for the advise .. and yes light does bother me .. so there isnt any from any thing in our room but my husbands alarm clock but its on his side so I dont notice. I will try stretching tonight and see if that works. Thanks for the tip !! :)
 
Try this again ... i made a whole big list of all my food and it didnt post .. so in short .. forgot to weigh myself this morn so not sure my weight LOL .. we will see how tom goes ... todays cals were 1570 .. a bit high but mondays are (not quite good for you dinners) so we had sloppy joes with fruit. Worked out for over half n hr today .. excited to do more tom (cant beleive i said that!) This whole new lifestyle thing is actually pretty awesome .. altho i havent dropped the weight i wanna so far ... I DO feel better ... AND I got some pants on that before I had to lie down to zip !!!! I laid back on the bed to zip felt how much run there was !!! AWESOME :) Ok off to bed now ... this new sleep pattern thing i think its going to be easier than I thought ..SOO glad hubby got a new job with great hours ! :)
 
Again at weight 193.6 ... so back down to the lowest weight in this journey so far.... HOPEFULLY it keeps coming off and doesnt come back on.

Todays menu:

Breakfast-
3/4 Cup cereal & 1/8 Cup skim milk = 110 Cals
2 Eggs & 1 Slices light bread & 1 slice Cheese = 290

Lunch-
3 Slices light bread & left over sloppy joe mix (I know...BAD !! But it cant throw it out and I know hubby wont eat it ..so I did) & 1 apple = 430

Dinner (will be)
Baked chicken, Baked potato, green beans = 440

Snack - popcorn (trying to drink more water ... this makes me thirsty ..and takes me FOREVER to eat lol) = 250

workout for today .. 30 cardio on the wii fit .. few mins of lifting weights ... and got a new biggest loswer workout dvd that that have 10 min work outs for each day of the week .. gonna do that today too :)

Cant wait to get out of the 190's !!!!!

Cals for all day = 1520 .. not my worst ... but tom gonna be more around 1200's :)
 
Even though sloppy joes aren't the best thing to eat, it's not like you eat it all the time! And if it was only 430 cals for it, then that's pretty good :) I woudn't have thrown it out either.

I have ALWAYS not wanted to waste food but living in germany ... if i threw it out id have to put it in a certain trash bag ... and its a trash bag with no paper or plastic .. .. so it would have taken awhile to fill the rest of the bag up and left over hamburger in the trash can for days ... wouldnt make my house smell good lol... and no dumping it outside cuz the landlord lives on one side of me and has his work shop on the other.

I feel the exact same thing about my diary. I get lonely if no one posts or only one person or something. I post in a lot of people's diaries and sometimes I feel like why should I bother if no one else does! But, I do love reading other people's diaries just because it's a great way to get ideas or just to help someone :)
 
woke up this morn at my lowest weight so far .... 193 ... i got to 193.6 once .. but went back up the next day .. sooooo im hoping tom morn it stays the same or goes down :)

The past couple days have been rough .. kinda fought with the hubby .. and the issue of him wanting kids and me not being ready made a slight problem at first .. but after i explained my feelings he understood. And next week I have some appts to actually get out of the house (for those of you that might be reading and dont know ... im a stay at home wife ... literally a STAY AT HOME .. I leave the house MAYBE once a week .. and thats to go to the store ... and being here all the time has made me a lil depressed and it all hit me the past coule of days .. but we are working on it ... so to say the least all i wanted to do was eat my comfort foods for the past couple days .. BUT .. I stayed in my calorie range ... altho I didnt work out ... but we talked tonight and worked things out and I feel MUCH better .... so tom I start fresh and start working out again.

Off to bed to nuggle with the hubby :) Cant wait to weigh myself tom morn and see what it says :)
 
I hope you maintain and go down from that 193! I know what that's like hitting a weight and just hoping it doesn't go back up. However, now that you hit 193, even if you go up, it's better than being 194 and going up ya know? So you're that much closer.

Just regarding the whole pregnancy thing, and out of curiosity if you don't mine, why don't you want children yet? How old are you? Is it because of your weight?

I'm just asking because I'm at the stage where I want kids and my hubby wants to wait 1-2 more years. I can handle 1 year, but not 2 I don't think... lol. I know I do want to get to a healthy weight before getting pregnant that's for sure, but if it happens and I haven't hit that weight then that's ok. But since I have to wait anyways, I'm going to work to get to that healthy weight so that when the time comes, I'll be healthy and ready!

Thanks for stopping by :) Yes its good i got farther down then before ... but depressing it went up 1.4 lbs this morn.. but its getting around the time of my female curse (lol) so maybe thats it ... but normally my weight doesnt change around that time.

I wanna wait to have kids cuz
1) im in germany and this is my FIRST time EVER being away from my family .. its hard being away from them .. i couldnt imagine having to take care of a baby and not have their help ...
2) If hubby deploys I literally will be ON MY OWN .. we only have 1 couple we hang out with and they are leaving soon so i wouldnt feel comfortable asking people we hadnt hung out with for help.
3) I know you gain weight when your pregnant .. but to me .. thats not an excuse and in my crazy head ... i dont think my emotions could handle putting on weight .. even if it is for a baby. (I wanna be healthy and ready like you said)
4) We have only lived together for 4 months ... we lived together for 6 months before he joined the service ... then the next two years we just saw each other for a couple weeks at a time .. .if you add up ALL the physicall time we have been together then its just about a full year .... and we have been a couple for over 3 .. so I REALLY like to enjoy being a couple for a lil while .. cuz when you have kids .. that stuff kinda goes away.

So there are alot of reasons lol .. I just dont feel ready .. you know how your supposed to know when your ready ... and Im just not there. Oh and im 25 :)
 
Weight today 194.4 .... HOPE im getting ready for monthly friend ... and thats the cause of it. I even withheld from ANY salt !!! And I normally salt EVERYTHING lol ..

Went to the gym today with the hubby ... which took major guts for me cuz i expected it to be lots of tiny woman and buff men with their lil clothes on .. .but it wasnt like that at all .. there was only one other girl there and she was just a tiny bit chubby so I felt ok there. Plan to keep going on weekends .. and maybe weekdays is hubby gets off work in time and has time to come get me and get to the gym :) I did 10 mins on the elliptical .. thought that was ok cuz i expected to be able to do 30 seconds lol .. then spent the rest of the time (dont know how much but it was at least 20 mins) lifting weights. So i felt pretty good about myself untill I got home and showered and put some clothes on to go out (I live in my pjs lol so I forget sometimes that my clothes dont fit like i want em too) so I was kinda down .. but im working on it so its not going to be like this much longer and that is something i have to look forward too :)

Going to a friend house to have bison burgers (supposed to be good and good for you) and play clue (new addition :) ) and drink .. but i prolly wont drink ..unless i find something not high in cals. Thats all for now .. thanks for reading and stopping by :)
 
Ah yeah, those are a lot of reasons. I don't blame you for wanting more hubby time that's for sure. I'm 26 so we're practically the same age. My hubby and I have been together for just over 5 years and we've lived together for most of it... hehe. So we've had a lot of time together and all of our family is here so I'm definitely ready.

I say take the time you need. You want to get the time with your hubby before the kids come because like you said, it changes. It would suck to have a hubby that can be deployed. I'm glad my hubby has no interest whatsoever in things like that. How much longer does your hubby have in the army/navy/whatever it is he is in? Do you think he'd go on longer than that?

The elliptical is hard! I remember the first time I went on it, I lasted 2 minutes. I probably could have made it 5 if I really tried though, lol. Now I can do an hour, but it's an hour of torture, lol.
