Hey I wondered how quickly someone can actually gain a pound from muscle. Physically how quickly can that happen? Is it totally an individual thing? anyway, I've always wondered that.
 
individual thing yes. some people gain muscle fast, some gain slow. people have different body types ;)
 
People can typically gain up to 1 pound of lean muscle per month.

This pound of lean muscle in turn burns 50 calories a day (even if you're just sitting there on the couch). Add up to 10 pounds of lean muscle and your body is burning an extra 500 calories a day, turning you into a fat burning machine.
