Heavy Mama 22's Fight

Hi everyone,

It's been a battle for the past week to 2. On top of my home life i've taken on babysitting 2 more kids. lmfao i must be crazy. I have to be there by 730 every morning. And cause my body isn't use to getting up at 6 in morning. I drag, all morning til I get there. And then there, i'm on the go, with kids..... breakfast, cleaning and playing with the kids. But it seems that isn't enough. I haven't been doing good with my diet either. ughhhh i gained back my 3lb and got back 2 inches on my waist. It could be a womanly problem i'm having thats doing, and hoping thats all it is. But very discouraged by it. Ever since i had my tube's tied 2 years ago, my family will see me one time and say wow you lost weight and then the next time they say i look like i gained. My grandma thinks i have problems with my thyroid gland but doctor checked there is nooo problem there. And since i had them tied, i'll go up to 2 monthes with no womanly times. I will try to keep you guys informed.......... :( I pray i have better results this week.

The main thing is to keep the battle going. Sounds like a dose of small goals might be in order. Maybe try committing to going for a short walk three times a week or some other challenge like completing X sets of exercise you had been doing at the start to get things rolling again. Focus on the things you have control over like activity levels and the eating and the results will likely follow.

I find that when I start with exercising and work towards some small goals the eating starts to fall in line automagically... It could be because once I see how hard it is to move and exercise, putting on extra weight by making not so good choices on the food front seems a little less appealing.

heya really glad to see you back. I agree with feelinggooder...we need to keep the battle going! and we WILL get there! We are in this together. Maybe if we imagine ourselves at our goals whatever they are and stick to this image and tell ourselves we will get there, yes it may take a while, but we will get there! It must be really hard getting up at 6am, I am not a morning person, and when tired just have no energy for things, and my mood is low. So I can really get that. Hopefully after time your body clock will get used to it, are you getting enough sleep? x

Well Ladies and Gent's

I am proud to say with tears in my eyes, I have LOST 5lbs. And it's still 4 inches off my waist, 2 off my hips and 2 off my chest. I was hoping for more then that, but thats a great start!!!!!!!!! I haven't changed much, in month I started a babysitting job. Figured out today that when I walk to there or from there it's 1.4 miles. So last week this wintery cold city was only -5's all week. I walked there and back. for 3 days and bused there and walked back another day. I have cut back on some pop drinking, still my biggest weakness. My mouth is actually watering thinking about an Ice Cold Dr. Pepper........... but lucky for me, I have none in the house and i've got almost a foot of snow building up in my driveway, I can't even walk to get some...... lol I am trying to chase my kids more threw my house and playing tag with them. Or i'm going to get you game........ Sooooo no excuses. Got to get off here get 5 loads of laundry done, supper cooked and clean up, and kids ready for bed. I will try to get on here at least once a week to keep you guy's informed. But i'm rarely on the computer much now....... Hope everyone else is doing good too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations on the weightloss Heavymoma22! That is excellent work!! Keep it up and you will reach your goal weight! Good choice on walking (assuming the roads are in good condition and no risk to slip on ice or trip!) It's amazing how much calories we can burn just by walking! Stay away from the sodas...they are packed full of diet busting stuff! Very proud of you...keep up the great work!

Fantastic results on both the weight and the inches. Must feel nice to have the clothes fit looser these days.

Sounds like a great idea to take advantage of the slightly warmer weather and walk to and from places. Swapping out bus rides for walking makes a world of difference and depending upon what the bus schedule is like you'll probably find that it's almost quicker some days to walk rather than wait around for a bus to show up.

Keep it up you're doing great. Getting off soda can be quite a challenge but if you find a way to swap something else in its place like water or it will help a bit more. The other thing I've tried a few times when looking for that bubbly taste is some club soda with a little squirt of lime or lemon juice.

Welllllll,

I fell, lost my footing and couldn't get back up. I'm back up again, the surprising part. I still have the weight gone and off. I'm currently 181lbs and still a 40 and 1/2 inch waist. I'm looking into gyms right now! Went today, did 20 minutes on the bike. Couple of reps on the weights and couldn't stand up much. But i'm still lacking the whole you got to eat a breakfast bit. Hated eating in the mornings when i was a kid. Like to wake up before I did anything. But let give it a go. Maybe i'll get more one on one support in person, at this place. They have one on one trainers!!!!!!!!! Get a free session on saturday!!!!!!!!!!!

Agood effort getting back up and into the exercise, keeping off the weight and the inches is a bonus, Well Done.
