heavy and hopeful

Great to see you again!! Looks like everyone is in love with those Wii fit things. I might end up having to pick one up. god knows Matt's already got every other game console out there. :D
don't sell yourself short, you might not be getting to the gym, but at least you're doing SOMETHING. you could be just sitting watching the kids' cartoons. instead you're doing the tennis game. it might not be everything you're wanting to do, but it's a lot better than sitting around doing nadda. ;)
I'll keep my fingers crossed that you can get to the gym though.
Ciao Bella

Thanks Shandy. Yes I do reallly love that tennis game. I seem to work up a good sweat when I play a couple rounds against the computer. I also play against the kids on other games so yes it's something but doesn't feel like enough. So.... my request for Christmas was make me a spot in our soon to be play room for my ab lounger. This would be more to add to my tennis. I can't wait.
So I started writing down what I ate today. OMG!!!!!!! The calories add up so fast. Unbelievable. So next find a new diet. Totally have to change everything. Will look into making my special sandwiches I made when I lost wieght last time. Oh, and salads for sure.:ack2:

K so the changing of the diet proves to be harder than I thought. In order for this to work, everyone at home has to change their diets too. A year ago I used my will power to not eat cookies at work and I also used it to stop drinking soda. Okay so it worked fine. This time I can't seem to get it together. So today I didn't eat the chips I normally do with lunch. I had a bowl of soup for breakfast and a three inch phylly steak sandwich with onions on it. For dinner pizza. That's where I lost. My biggest weakness for dinner is pizza. So after Ipost this I'm getting back on the Wii. I need to do something to ease the pizza effect.
So tomorrow is another day. Work and hopefully gym. I have to work after work again so we shall see where that leads. Until tomorrow. And to everyone keep up the good work. From what I can tell you're all doin your best.

Still playin tennis on the Wii but I think it's doin something. I put on a pair of frehly washed jeans and they weren't tight. That says good for me. So I think as long as I keep playing it will help.
It's not a replacement for my workout but I spend time with the kids and get to sweat too. I have been playing before dinner and then again after so it might work off some of the calories that I ate. Then even though it was my baby's second birthday I only ate about three bites of cake and couldn't eat anymore. I was good and for lunch we had a Subway party sub. Perfect food for us. Woo Hoo!!!!!

A lady I work with said the WII hoolah hoop and skiing is fun too....

Its hard to be in a household when others want to eat junk..I know that..but I have been making them eat what I eat...I made weight watchers mac and cheese and sloppy joes last night. no one complained...it was good..I mean the real thing is better of course but its good.

Pizza is my weakness too.....

we just have to stick to our game plan NO MATTER WHAT....figure out a "work around" if we hit a wall....

best wishes

Looks like you're getting good results, Kare. Congrats on the loss. I've been watching everyone and you're all doing so well. Keep it up!!!!!
Yes it's very hard when no one else wants to watch what they eat. My mom is the worst, she continues to always buy all the junk she can find. I have been very good though. I don't do the snacking like I used to. I eat dinner and have a small bite laterand I mean just a bite. Then I play my tennis on the Wii.
Stress however is a definite problem that I hear doesn't help with the weight loss. I have plenty of that. Ugh!!!
Today I had a six inch turkey no cheese with light mayo and lettuce. For breakfast a bowl of soup. And a sugar free rockstar. For dinner rice with hamburger in it. Now I'll finish with water for the rest of the night.

So it seems the Wii is paying off. I have lost seven pounds. I was quite surprised when I stepped on the scale as I don't do this often. Felt real good about myself. Since the idea of getting to the gym seems to be a dream to me. But I still plat the Wii before and after dinner so I guess it's something good.
Have been really watching what I put in my mouth. I feel better about myself and my body doesn't have the forever bloated feeling.

So I switched gyms now have a family membership so hopefully that will make it easier as my family can go and then they can't say I'm not spending enough time with them. My kids continually ask if we can go so we will start doing this regularly.
Today I had a salad with turkey ham and roasy beef. Drank water almost all day. Still holding true to my no soda fro the last year and a half. I'm not sure if I will go back to drinking it. I don't really miss it.
Just thougth I'd stop in and visit some get caught up with everyone.

Today I had a bowl of potato soup my sugar free calorie free energy drink. About six pieces of pepperoni and three triangles of cheese. No junk so far and I intend on keeping it that way. Cooking dinner, noodles mixed veggies and chicken breast all mixed as a casserole. will have that then play the Wii while doing laundry. Then to bed to get ready to work my sixteen hours tomorrow. Ugh!!!

Today I had abowl of tomato garden vegetable with rotini soup. That was a twelve ounce bowl. One triangle of cheese and a bag of peppercorn ranch sun chips. Then low and behols I made it to workout. My family met me at the Y and we first started in the cardio with the tread mill I walked 3/4 of a mile. Would have gone further but my foot started to hurt. Then I went to upper body weights and did a short workout. We then traveled to the gym and played basketball for an hour and a half. Of course that's a workout all its own. Then back to the cardio room. Used the stair stepper and did more upper weights then found a new machine. It has a bike and arm bike all together. I love it!!! So now that my family joins me we will be making it a habit the kids love going and beg me frequently. So Wednesday we will go back and do it again.
