Hey Guys! I posted a little "rant", if you will, before... I am super happy to have lost 17 pounds over the past few months, and EVEN MORE excited to have done it and not even noticed. haha. I mean... Everything has been fitting a little looser, but I didnt even know that I had lost weight until I stepped on the scale.
Ok so this diary is going to be a lot of ranting, excitement, complaining, learning, and everything in between. I need a place to keep myself accountable for what I do and for what I don't do. *cough* exercise *cough*
There are a couple of things that have happened today so far today that I have been proud with myself over...
Ok, let me just start off by saying that I work in a Ford dealership with lots of guys haha... there are only 2 girls that work here other than myself. With that being said, let me also throw in this, the guys I work with LOVE to eat yummy, terrible for you, fast/fried foods. Our customers are always bringing in FRESH ITALIAN PASTRIES from Brooklyn, NY, or Hershey Kisses, handmade, awesome smelling gingerbread houses, etc. and thats without saying that the Ford reps. and Enterprise Rental Car guys aren't always bringing us free lunch, pizza, cheesesteaks, hoagies (OR SUBMARINE OR HERO? SANDWICH TO OTHERS haha), etc. It seems like at we do at work is eat and when the warm weather comes rolling around we are out making Ritas Water Ice and Dairy Queen runs EVERY day. Its crazy!
Well, on with the story! Today the guys got a bunch of hot dogs and hamburgers and all sorts of other yummy "summer time" grill foods. Haha... they asked me if I wanted something and even though I smelt it and saw it and it looked sooooo good... I said "No thanks." Oh thats right!!!... me!, the chubby girl who doesnt say no to food said NO to a hamburger.... which I have been CRAVING for days now. I think it was a test sent to me fromt he gods of "skinny" or something to see if I was "worthy"! lol
So then I went out for lunch. I did some shopping and went to Wal-Mart (one of my very most favorite places on the face of the Earth by the way). I am still a little leery about the whole "clothes shopping" thing so I avoided that area of the store and headed over to the pets department. I got one of those collars for dogs that has a little loop in the front that goes over the dogs nose and mouth and keeps the dogs from pulling on their leash by pulling their noses down towards the ground whenever the puppy puts too much tension on the leash. Basically its a training tool that my puppy desperatly needs lol... I have an American Staffordshire Terrier, or to some a Pitbull. I have other dogs as well but I think he (Hank) would be best for what I would eventually like to do. I have one mutt that looks like a Bichon and another that is Golden Retriever. The golden retriecer is, for lack of better words, hyper/bad lol. Even though Hank is a Pitbull and they have a terrible reputation right now, he is one of the best, sweetest dogs, you will ever meet. He's great at listening, he's calm (for a puppy), and I'll be able to run him and he'll LOVE it and won't knock me over like the Retriever. lol... My boyfriend can run that dog lol. Anyways, we got Hank when he was a puppy... I have time to rant, so I am going too haha...
My boyfriend, Rob, works with a lady named Stephanie. Stephanie has a son thats 17 named Nick. Nick thought it would be a good idea to get a puppy and hide it in his room from his parents even though they already have 4 dogs. Nicks mom and dad found out, said no way, get rid of it or it goes to the shelter. Nick doesnt try to find a home for it. Stephanie calls a shelter and the shelter says he'll probably be put down because of what kind of dog it is, Rob finds out, and brings dog home. lol.. But like I said, he's been the BEST dog. Potty trained after days, if he has an accident he runs into his cage and hides cause he knows he was bad, i taught him to sit in like 30 min etc. Great dog... lol.
Anyways, if I doesnt rain by the time I go home I am taking Hankey out for a little stroll, he's got to learn to walk on a leash. We got him during the winter and its been cold so he hasn't gone for walks and where we live there is no need to let him out on a leash. We stay with him at all times of course... he's just not use to walking on it. And I REALLY need the exercise. BAD. lol
Oh right! The other good thing I did today.... haha... I got subway lol... I got a 12 inch turkey sandwich because they were only $5. I brought it back to work... ate half... and put the other half in the fridge away from me so I can have that for DINNER!! WOO-HOO!!! lol.... Its soooo not like me to eat half of something once I have it in my hands!
I am taking baby steps but they seem to be in the right direction! lol
Ok... well... I guess I am done with my rant for now about everything and anything! Maybe if I get bored later I will come back and report on how the walk with Hank went lol...
See ya!
and thanks for hanging out to read my babble!!!
