Having A Hard Time Getting A Good Looking Body

I've recently took the path to join the army, So for the past 4 years, I've been really physical about things, I already was very steady at the gym, so It wasn't a big change for me at the time. I studied real hard, worked out a bit harder, but never really changed my weight, I got a bit heavier in weight, muscle size improved in the upper body very much, but nothing major, still had a gut and looked what i call unattractive naked. This was some time ago, I recently moved since then, so i switched to a home gym method, not by choice. I also was in the process at MEPS I passed my physical, but then later was Disqualified for being over taped. After that I got a little angry and dramatically changed my diet and tryed a week without eating aswell as taking adderall, as you probably know, it didn't work, after a week with no progress I stopped, I now have started eating normal but am still taking adderall. I've restarted my old home-workout routine which ive already been doing for a year before my recent meps DQ. So heres what I'm doing.

Start the morning off with all my sets on a crappy bowflexblaze for a few hours, I know resistance training is not the best but its all i have.

I then move on to some free weights, some dumbbells, usually i curl get a good bicep pump going with a combination of resistance on the triceps. for about 30 minutes.

I then do some push ups & pull ups then run a couple miles.

Diet wise I'm pretty good, I only drink water or Coke Zero

Usually a bowl of cereal in the morning, nothing unhealthy.

Lunch is usually a salad or sandwich.

Dinner is whatever the hell is in the cupboards.

Nothing outrageously unhealthy.

Currently I'am

5'9

185-190 pounds always changing between those two

According to the guys at meps bf (Body Fat Percentage)

I am 15bf of my neck

and taped a 39 on my gut. :confused4:

So what do i need to do to look better, do you guys see anything wrong with my diet or routine, what do i need to do logically and real to get this damn fat off that never comes off, I mean i work out hard, harder than anyone i know. So what do i need to do to get the weight down, look better, get some damn credit were credits do. People connect fat with laziness, which is valid to some extent, but not in my case, guy at meps said, "Have you ever tryed running?" I mean that's really insulting, I wanted to hit em. So hopefully you guys could give me some tips, maybe im doing something wrong, I don't know, just know that I'm not seeing serious results and i should. I'm already fit, I mean its there, just got fat over it, very irritating. :confused4:

You have to be honest with yourself about the intensity of your workout and diet. You may be eating way more calories than you realize and not burning them off. I would track what you eat for a couple of days and calculate the # of calories. You say that you working out a couple of hours a day but that doesn't gel with a 39 in gut. You are carrying a lot of fat so your plan should be to burn more calories than you consume. Try cleaning up your diet, do no more than an hour of resistance training then go out and run 3 to 5 miles. You will be down to a respectable weight in no time.

I've already upped how much i run, as for food, I simply just don't eat enough to cause that much fat, its just not logical. I'm pretty honest with myself, i mean if i pigged out and ate like a horse, i'd agree but i don't. I'm just as stumped as you, I mean it doesn't gel with a 39 in the gut.

trek is right could be an iodine deficiency or something if that's the case you could get iodine from iodized salt or certain green vegetables and boost your metabolism. I would either talk to a doctor or a registered dietician to get your body burning more fat whether or not you are working out a lot
