following with interest

i have just found this thread as i too had read the amazing stories about this diet and was curious.
there are lots of people on here telling us how they are feeling while doing the plan and of their weightloss while on the plan but there are no followups telling us how they had done when they came off the plan, are they all embarrassed at actually doing the plan when advised not to as they have found they have indeed piled on all the weight they lost and probably more, or are you still trying it to see just how much weight you can lose.
come on let us know if it is actually worth us putting our bodies through this or if we will be dissapointed in the end.

It's amazing how many people have one or two posts that post in this thread.

But what do I know.

I think that there are two types of people out there - those who want to lose weight quickly and will buy into whatever 'plan' out there promises to help then achieve that and those who have tried those plans (multiple times for a lot of us) and have finally come to the realization that to truly change yourself, you have to make just that, a permanent lifestyle change. Forever.

Until an individual comes to the realization that lifelong success only comes through changing your habits and lifestyle, they will continue to look for whatever short-term solution out there will help them lose weight without having to change the habits that made them heavy in the first place.

You can't help everyone Steve, just put your energies into helping those who want it. You know who they are.

As a former 'fad dieter' it was hard coming to the realization that the only way I was ever going to change my appearance was to change myself permanently.

It isn't worth the aggravation trying to change the mindset of someone who isn't interested.

what a joke of a thread....

Eat clean, excercise, and make a lifestyle change.. those are the only three ingredients needed to lose weight and maintain it..

dont try this garbage crap..

Mostly I'm amazed by the fact that it says "banned" under your name...yet you continue to be an active member. First I wondered why you had been banned. Now I'm just wondering why it says you've been banned when you're obviously an active member.

18 in 4

Hello all :)

I am new to the forum and I am looking for program (with somewhat fast results) that would be a good jump start to motivate me while losing weight and I was wondering if anyone has heard of the 18 in 4 diet () It is saying that you can lose up to 18 pounds in 4 days and the program is $27 to download. Has anyone tried this program before? If so, were your results positive and could you give more detail of the program? Or if you have any other suggestions that could help me on the road to success then I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

Just started this diet today, it cost me £14.30. after looking through the diet it does state no excercise, this is because of the low calorie intake. i started off this morning with black tea no milk sugar, 2 glasses of water and 1/2 grapefruit, good start and feel ok. lunch time soon and it consists of boiled eggs, greenbeans , butternut squash and tomato juice. this diet i feel is a boost to start a healthy eating diet. i have read people saying that this is not worth the money but i untill ive finished the diet i cannot comment. i say that if i lose 10lb in the 4 days then its been well worth it, will let you know how i got on after i finish it.

It was a joke from a few weeks back when I was told I'm too mean to do any good on this forum, is all.

People really seem to be noticing now though, so I better change it.

eh, some people can't handle brutal honesty and truth. too bad for them. glad you're not banned.

Thanks. :)

Some people just like things packaged in pretty boxes and spoon fed to them. I don't think you'd get that from me even if you were paying me.

I don't really sweat it, you can't win even if you try. No matter what you do there are always going to be people who complain or try and bring you down. Knowing that, I just shoot straight and however it's taken is not my problem, lol.

Listen to your body

Morning,

Day 2 severe headaches had my 1/2 grapefruit for breakfast, really really hungry, dont think this is the diet for me, my body not handling the lack of calories after all last meal 5pm yesterday which left me hungry, my body looking for some food this morning and didnt get anything but grapefruit and black tea, lunch time soon which consists of cup of celery more runner beans and tomatoes, and a wee treat 1/2 cup of melon. dont think there many if any calories in that. dinner tonight consists of 6oz of baked chicken butternut squash and tomatoes, . roll on tuesday.

I'd say, listen to your body. Weight loss is not meant to be torture - it's instead a lifestyle change with which you can live!

Search for that new lifestyle instead; adhere to that, the weight WILL come off and you won't be damaging your body.

Best wishes,

Barbara

I see (said the blind man) lol I was just confused by your "banning" and then how you posted while being banned. Glad you're still here!

Hi Kellydiane

Hi Kellydiane how are you doing now did you cope with day 3? if so congratulations it really sounds as if this is a very painfull process to lose weight. well done for getting this far.

this weight loss "plan" sounds horrible.
if you're having headaches and really hungry, stop. find a longterm healthy lifestyle, not a short term diet.

Oh I'm in pain just reading your diet. All you need to do is eat around 1600-1800 cals a day and some moderate excercise and you will lose weight. Heres sample menu for how I eat normally see if sounds more appealing to you..

Breakfast: 4 egg white omelette made with 1 slice of lowfat cheese with ketchup ,2 slices whole wheat toast and two cups of coffee (WITH MILK!) for around 400 calories (just estimating here on cals so not exact but pretty close)

lunch: Turkey Sandwich with a slice of Alpine Lace cheese with some Tom. slices and some romaine lettuce with some mustard and 100 calorie bag of light popcorn for around 450 calories

Snack: I tend to have a cup of coffee and pc of dark chocolate for around 150 calories or you can have an apple sliced up with a tablespoon of peanut butter for around the same amount.

Dinner: a pc of filet mignon cooked in a tbsp of butter with some cracked pepper with a bit of A1 on the side , a microwaved sweet potatoe or cut up tossed with a bit of virgin olive oil bit of salt and pepper and balked in the oven for about 30 minutes at 450 degrees with two cups of romaine , diced onions and 60 calories of your favorite dressing ( I use lowfat) for around 600

And I usually have another snack after I work /before bed .The above totals 1600 and you can always adjust to smaller breakfasts etc etc but just so you get the idea that you can eat well be full and still lose weight. Good luck and drop that head ache inducing plan.
