OK, so I hit my weekly weight loss target of 2 pounds bang on, so it's all smiles around here.:D

However, does anyone else feel that the more you concentrate on your weight loss and diet, the slower it seems to be coming off. When I think about it I get really Inpatient and want to reach goals like NOW!
ERRRERRERR annoying, but nothing good comes to thoses who don't wait!

Tonight I went Spinning at the gym
Wednesday Spinning again
and then Body Combat on Thursday
then weekend just going to try and keep active (dog walking etc.)

Hopfully I will lose another 2 pounds for next week, meaning I'm half a Stone away from one of my targets set of 13 Stone.

Does anyone else do Spinning?
What are your opinions on the great amount of patience needed to succeed?
I do want to know!!!:)

LOVE HARRIET xxx:rolleyes:

this is not a quick fix you're doing -it is a lifelong change that does require patience and learning and relearning on what he right thing is...

pace yourself -you will get to where you want to be -just don't be so focussed on the final goal and enjoy the process of youo getting there

I'm watching an obesity program on tv
i dont like it because some of them weigh half a tone
and like not even human
and their sad and crying.

Anyway today
went on a bike ride.
feel off twice
haha.

I'm trying to do something active every day I don't go to the gym
because I don't have a membership
and it's a pay-as-you-go thing and it's getting expensive
really trying to make sure this is a life change
so making sure I do some form of exersise outside
so I'm not so dependant on the gym.:D

I love being incontrol of what I eat
because it makes me feel I'm more incontrol of my life
and that food doesn't control me.
kinda makes me feel more optimistic about life.
abit over the top, but it's so true.

Next week I'll hopfully be out of the 190's and into the 180's
that will feel so good because even though it might only be a couple of pound down the 9 has turned into an 8 and looks better!:)

Hows everyone?:p

Hi Harriott, I'm Valerie.

Spinning is a class I've always looked at but never did--mainly because I used to only have a bike for transpo--and I thought, "Screw that, I already have to ride everywhere." But now I miss bike riding because I live off a long, narrow, winding country road and I'm scared to get hit! Maybe I'll try it and you can try it and we'll compare?

I always get sad when I see obese-obese people in bed crying. Other people show disgust and it amazes me--hey, they're human! They must feel awful, being immobile--I would!

Valerie!! heeloo.
I just came back from spinning and it was really good.
I recommend you try it out
its like a 45 minute, intense work out I do to music
and my legs are hurting right now
and i was shaking afterwards
but I like that feeling because then you know you have really worked out.

i tried the advanced class last Friday Haha and I felt like crying
i didn't realise it was the sodding advanced class
i never went back to that class again...

but when and if you do try it out please tell me
because I would be interested in knowing how you got on!

i cant wait to sleep tonightim looking forward to bed
yummm
xxxxx

woo, nice looking back on my old threads, seeing I have lost some more pounds since the photo was taken at 192. Lost 5.5 pounds since then, which is solid! hahah...I'm still motivated and unbelievably determined.

I’m not putting any time restrictions on my weight loss because this IS for life, because I cant afford to keep on abusing my body by losing allot of weight and then dramatically gaining it, like I did two years ago. No matter how bad I wont to be 140, no matter how slow the process seems to be taking I have to see how far I have come and know that I will get there. Pound by pound stage by stage

I’m putting all that I am into getting to where I wont to be
And determined to fight for what I wont
I suppose the longer it takes to reach 140

The sweeter it will be when I do get there…

hey harriet :) nice to see another english girlie here!
cngrats on your weight loss so far. i have never tried spinning and i really want to as it looks pretty good. my triathlon club does some spin training so i think i might go along to help my biking along. you have made it sound very appealing :D
do you have a road bike? you should have a go at some duathlons or something - they are good fun and so good for fitness! x

Sophie I’m in the midlands tooo, my it’s a small world.
I don’t have a road bike but iv been saving up for one
Because its an good investment
i can get me groove on

wow :) what a coincedence.
well if you one day invest in a road bike you can invest in a piece of equipment that will turn your bike into a spinner in the winter days when you just dont feel like going out. its like a resistance ?thing? lol and it holds the bike in place indoors whilst you cycle like mad. just like an exercise bike - but two in one.
xx

I'm down 1.5 this week, slowly but surely coming off...I'm always on here noising in on everyone, really interested to see everyone’s progress, pick up tips and to keep motivated and focused. I'm 0.5 pounds away from losing 40 pounds, which is a big achievement for me really.

tomorrow spinning and Wednesday
and really going to push it to get 2 pounds off this week only problem is got birthday events this weekend and really need some advice as to what to do, what to order etc. Sometimes i find it really hard to control myself and to stop nibbling other peoples food and before I know it
I’ll be ordering dessert 'treat yourself'. I hate when people say that because if i treat myself ill keep on treating myself
the whole point i got to 226Ibs is because is kept on treating myself
sometimes is all or nothing with me...

but I’m going to make sure that non of that happened this weekend
just eat healthy and try and not make it such a big deal
simple
or is it?

I'm just putting up the May challange up here
so its all nice and visable.

Start Weight = 188 pounds.
weight loss so far = 5.5 pounds

07 May = 186.5 pounds. (-1.5)
14 May = 184 (-2.5)
21 May = 182.5 (-1.5)
28 May =

Finish Weight =
Total Lost in May=

1st week = 1.5 is nice, 2 pounds would have been GREAT, but I’m not complaining, all smiles here.
I'm so close to my first long term target of 13 Stone. I’m just 4.5 pounds away, so this challenge is giving me hope that I’ll be seeing the 12 stone area for next months challenge.

2nd week = There's a nice two and a half pounds down this week. I am two pounds away from my long term target of 13 stone, which makes me VERYhappy because for me I'm out of the woods. So, yeah, the next 4 pounds down and I’ll not be 'obese' just 'overweight', making me feel I have significantly improved my health :D

3rd week = keeping it up i am but need to move more!!! 0.5 pounds away from 13 Stone

KEEP UP THE NICE WORK GUYS!

Tonight, i have just wanted to eat everything that is available, but have stopped my self by eating two apples and a yogurt. I hate late nights like these because i basically want to consume the entire content of my fridge.

and i have to remember that’s why i got to 16 stone 2 pounds, in the first place Harriet.
i don’t know if anyone is going to read this but

you can't spot reduce fat can you?
i looked it up and it all says no
so like if you lose say 5 pounds that comes of equally all over your body because its all coming off my waist but i feel my hips are still the same.

apparently the last place it comes off is the first place you put it on or was it the other way

or am i looking into too much. I'm just curious i suppose.

i have been really working for my exams recently and have been using that as an excuses as to why i haven’t been out exercising.

i mean obviously i need to do the work but i know that there is time in the day to go out side and get my heart rate up.

And i weighed myself this morning and this week i have lost a pound. My official weight day is tomorrow so, I’m not noting it down but it will probably stay at 183 for tomorrow as well, but at least it is going down in the right direction.

One pound away from my first major goal :D happppyyyy.
