If you're not sure about the calories, 1200 a day while on a diet is usually a great starting point. And I agree with Cate about the protein suggestion. Do you like flavoured protein powders? A protein smoothie for breakfast was always an easy (and really lazy) way I used to get my daily 55 grams of protein.

1200 kcal a day is already very low (unless you´re over 60 or very short) and - at least in the UK - isn´t recommended for longer than a two-week diet. Most docs tell you to start off at around 1500 (unless you´re male or very obese, in which case it´s higher).

IF they decide to go, try to not just think "no big deal". It IS a big deal, and feels very sudden, especially if they have been guiding you in an active way. I felt very alone for a while, even though I had my fiancée and his family. Spend all the time you can with them now and appreciate it![]()
Hi hana, good job getting through eating on vacation! I know for me not knowing calories can cause anxiety.
I know that feeling of having done badly even though the facts don´t bear it out. Only eating once a day and that one time being pizza isn´t ideal healthwise but it isn´t going to make you fat! And you even made sure there were some veggies on that pizza, so well done you.
