this one is going to be fun. i might just have to try somthing from the list i have never had before. does frozen fruits and veggies count or do they have to be fresh?

frozen counts... in frozen veggies, watch for the sodium content.. some can be pretty high in it... and can cause water retenton... but it absolutely count.. have fun experimenting.. and report back and tell us what you tried :D

Wow good 1 MAL!!!!
That is 1 of my downfalls I noticed I eat 2-3 servings of fruites and veggies.
So 5 is definnatley a challange thank you I needed this 1! Tammy
 
OH this is soooo terrible for me! I am not a veggie lover! I wish I was. But I made out my grocery list for tomorrow when I go shopping and have something from evry group written down. This will be good for me. Does canned count? You can get it with no sodium at all for more healthy eating. So I just wondered. Good luck everyone!!
 
you can eat fruits too!! just think, an apple, and orange, and a banana in one day - that's three different fruits, AND three different colors... have one at each meal... and throw in a salad - and you are set!

*yay* a challange I can definately achieve. I had mine for today without even knowing that this was week 2 challange. I'm going to go pick up some fruits and veggies tomorrow and I'm going to shoot for one of each color for this week to make up for my poor showing in the water challlange. :D
 
This challenge is gonna be awesome, i didnt eat 5 yesterday because i didnt post until today, but i will definetely do it today!!! Thanks Mal, great challenge!!!!

This is a cool challenge!! Yesterday I had... blueberries- blue, banana -white, apple- green, tomato - red, carrots - orange...

I am going to try to stay with one color of each atleast, instead of 5 overall.
 
I made mine today, and it was actually pretty easy, green beans, orange, apple, banana, and okra, though im not sure if that one counts....ok, well have a great night everyone, and dont stop drinkin that water!!

PS~Water goal met also, i dont kno if its just me, but the veggies/fruit seemed to help me with the water...? ok, ttyl, bye~!!!!!

Ok I didn't do great on the veggies or fruit I had 1 handful of GREEN grapes
due to I want home and was invited to an all nighter party that went from
2 pm and I didnt get home till 3 am!!! But I swear no healthy foods there
what so ever there was corn smothered in salt and butter so thats a no
there was salad but I cant even get a bite down of that!So I had the
grapes with my sandwhich at lunch and I took a meal replacement for back
up thank gawd!!! I will make up in colors tomorrow! Tammy
 
Question, do pickles count? or does the fact that they've been loaded with salt make them no good for this challenge?
 
Confession time...I made the goal on Friday, but Saturday and Sunday :eek: I'm afraid not. Sorry VV's for holding us back, but I promise each and every one of you that I will meet the challenge EVERY DAY this week...even if it kills me. :D
 
I forgot Friday I had 1 serving of GREEN GRAPES 2 servings of mixed veggies
(orange yellow green)
Sunday-- Green grapes green beans/ cooked carrots/cooked baked potatoe
sm corn on the cob
 
I've been packing myself huge portions and eating them throughout the day...hopefully I'm not eating too much....hmmm...
 
Are black beans considered a vegetable? I know, dumb question but I'm not sure.

If so, I've got my 5 in today: banana, grapes, craisins (cranberries), broccoli and carrots and black beans.
