Hey Hajni, Hope your moods are good tomorrow for work and that you o very soon so that your body doesn't keep holding on to so much water. Today i jumped on the scale just to see what it would show me and it said i weighed 232.4 which would mean i'm only 2.4 lbs away from my goal instead of the 4 that i have still showing that i have to lose to get to my goal. Anyways, I am not really sure what all to say but i did finally get in a official workout on the elliptical today. The first one in what almost 2 weeks.. yikes.. well i think i'm finally hitting my groove again cause tonight workout kicked my butt.. haha but is well worth it if it means toning up and losing inches and lbs. Dh said that we hope to know something by 4pm tomorrow as far as his paperwork. The lawyer took a look at it and said that they just now gotta get it signed off by the batallion commander then once that happens then they could do the official reading then he has to see the lawyer again and if that all checks out then the final reading with the commander then its onto transition which means waiting for his orders to ets(end time served) which can take anywhere from 5-7 days so after that then he'll get his clearing paperwork and that should only take 5-7 days as well then he will be home for good.

anyways i kinda wrote a little journal here for you to read. sorry its so long. anyways talk to you tomorrow. i may have to take the laptop into the computer store to be looked at though cause it was working fine earlier and now i can't get it to boot up which doesn't make much sense to me. well talk to you in the morning.

Thanks Heather for stopping by!! I hope we are going to be very close to our goal by the end of the week (for me it is 145).
So my UTI did not improve, I made an appt with the dr for tomorrow. Hope some antibiotics will help.
Also I am sooo bloated it is soo annoying. 2 lbs extra water on me on today's weight.
I did awesome at the gym!! My legs were jello when I got off that treadmill. Burnt a whole lot of calories today!!
Breakfast: 1 blueberry muffin (154) 1 c ff milk (90), 1 coffee (50) 1 kiwi (45) ½ cocoa-applesauce cake slice (43)= 382
Snack:
: 1 homemade oatmeal cookie (82), 1 ff yogurt (60)= 142
Lunch: Amy burrito pocket (270) 2 c. steamed savoy cabbage (38), 1 jello pudding (60) = 368
Snack: 1 apple (125), = 125
Dinner: Portabello-Mozzarella burger (home-made) stuffed in a pita* (210), 2 tbs ff nayonaise (20) ½ protein bar (90) = 320
Dessert: 1 ww chocolate cake (80) = 80
Total calories for the day : 1417

Exercise.: 37 min of walk on incline (200 cal burn), evening: 35 min treadmill (300 cal burn), boot camp (300 cal burn) = 800 total

I wanted to pass on info if ya didn't know already but didn't you put down in your menue a while back a "JELLO"10 CALorie cup??I am too lazy to check and alot of vegans I know don't eat that because it has animal fat in it??Is it true I never really looked at JELLO that way??FILL me in PLEASE lol:confused::eek:.....Heres to another good week and GET WELL GIRLIE!:hug2: Have a nice day tammy
 
Jello is made from ground up cow bone marrow.....gross....a substitute for gelatin is agar agar root.

You are absolutely right, it is gross and I knew what it was made of . I also got scolded by hubby for eating that stuff and he wouldn't touch it. I should have never made a sacrifice of my beliefs for the sake thinking it will help with my weight loss. I am going to find a recipe with the agar agar root and see if I can make it myself. As of today jello is off my menu. Thank you for reminding me why I did not touch jello for years.

I guess I am not really a vegetarian just a non-meat eater. It is so much harder to explain it that way to people though. It is easier to use the word: vegetarian but I guess eating jello kind of disqualified me. :eek:

I am not vegan, I tried that a couple of years back and it was just too hard for me I am a wimp when it comes to give up dairy products.
Hubby has been talking about starting to eat meat again. He wants to find organic, grass feed meat, free range chickens etc. We'll see if after all this time if he really wants to eat it. I don't miss it at all. It is funny, he "made" me a non-meat eater now he is the one who is craving it.

I think I just read that powdered sugar is not vegan due to the process of making???

Great way to push thru, even with a nasty UTI!

Thanks Yarmiah. It is hard for sure and I can't wait to see a dr. today. I tried all natural remedies, Vitamin C, cranberry extract... I have to brake down and take the antibiotics even that I really don't believe in taking medications.
I do have to say, this is the first time i was in any way sick since last September. Before that time I was sick once a month with something different. Everything my daughter caught at daycare and everything at work.
surely the healthy eating and lots of exercise has to do with that!!
 
Not so good start of my day this morning.
DD decided to wake up at 5.30 am, so I couldn't get my exercise in. I had all the gear on, mp3 player fired up ... and she screaming my name from her bedroom. So instead of exercising, I just started to prepare some food for tomorrow that is on my menu. Made un-chicken salad and baked tofu so when I come home tonight all my food for tomorrow is ready to go I can just hit it with the exercise.
Forgot to mention I used the new elliptical in the gym again. Boy that thing kicked my butt again.
Scale is showing 147 as of this morning, feels a lot better than the 148.6 I saw yesterday... I am sure my sickness has something to do with it as well.
I am antsy to adjust my ticker goal to 140 but I want to reach 145 first... :)
Ok, off to work now.

Haj! I wasn't trying to guilt you out of eating Jello! LOL! But I personally find it repulsive. About a month ago at a party they made me take Jello shots and I did :( Gross! Anyway, if you and the hubby are going to eat ANYTHING, try Alaskan Wild Salmon first--MUCH better for you than chicken OR meat. You know, part of the good reason to abstain from meat is that eating it just 3 or more times a week increases your risk of colon cancer by 30%. That could be bullshit, but I read it in a fitness magazine. SO it could be bullshit...nonetheless. And I think they fine the powdered sugar with cow bones, too. ICK! LOL

Howdy yummy chocken salad and I wasn't sure about the jello thats what I asked regardless it's a 10-20 cal snack and I am not going to think about what it is or isn't lol(doing some mind blocking):rotflmao: Ok you are totally kicking butt with that elitocal what is the secret to getting past the 1st 10 inutes lol I find it so hard to do for some reason (boredism)but I know it would do more for me than the bike would.Congrats on 147,have a nice day Tammy
 
Hey Hajni, your really kicking butt. i have no doubt that you'll reach 145 by halloween if not by the time this challenge is over for us. Its been a very challenging time but fun too. Keep it up girl your almost to your goal just a little bit further. You can do it.

Hey girl-doesnt it suck to have to label yourself vegetarian!You know I just do not eat meat but i will tear some gummy bears up because I refuse to pay 7 euros for a tiny pack without gelatin-LOL While i was in the states i did have a meat dish and it was OK but I was no able to go to the bathroom for 4 days the problem I use to have when I ate meat. I go everyday when I eat meat free-go figure. I cant wait for ou to announce your at your goal weight.I really need to get back on the ball but the extreme cold weather we are having so early in the season is killing me-I refuse to go out and run in the dark and the cold:rotflmao:!!!
I just need to get into gear and try to start going back to the gym early in the morning or evenings when dh is home early.

Okay didn't need to know the jello thing or the thing with the powdered sugar (ignorance can be bliss sometimes LOL) especially seeing how I just bought a whole package of pre-made, 10 calorie a cup jello. :rotflmao:
You are so going to make it to your goal before the HC is over. I just know it. Now if I could I would be sooooo happy. :jump: Only 4.8 pounds to go in 8 days. Don't think it will happen but ya just never know! I would never have thought that I could have lost that 3.something that I did a couple of weeks ago.
Hope you get to feeling better soon. I went to the doc today for an ear infection. Put it off for a week and a half. Finally broke down this morning. 'Cuz it just hurt to much. :cry:

Tammy, I remember last September when 3 min. on the elliptical totally kicked my butt and I swore I will never get on the thing again!!! I totally died every time but I am a VERY stubborn person and I promised to myself that I will get on the thing one day for 30 min...:rotflmao: I also listen to my mp3 player, no way I could do without that or I just start thinking about things I have to do...lately it is about 2008 budget for work... very exiting (NOT)...:)

Thanks Heather!! I appreciate the cheering on, I am surely trying my best although this whole thing with not O on time is driving me nuts and my body ALWAYS holds onto water around it...

I gave up the outside running as soon I got my treadmill. I just was not comfortable with the whole outside running and it wasted like 15 min. to drive to the park and back. I am totally not running alongside the road for some lunatic to hit me...:)
Hear you about the meat eating thing and being regular. Same here and also since i don't eat meat I feel "lighter" I don't know how else to explain it. Regardless of weight, I never feel like overstuffed or sluggish...
The trainer in the gym told me that she got an email from one of the members asking her to do personal training for her because she wants the same results I achived. It is sure felt complimentary for being an inspiration... Just like the compliments I get on here. Makes me keep going and going and going.... :)

I am glad you went to the doctor with your ear. Not treating it could lead to more serious troubles.
I went to the dr. today she gave me medicine, boy I was never happier!! Now I just have to wait it out to work!!
I just ran a mile, I walked maybe 5 min. of it... the first 10 min was pure torture but then my mp3 player took over and thinking about work and my parents and halloween and thanksgiving and christmas...I can't belive it is almost Christmas again we just had one...

Wow, lots of visitors today!! Thanks for all the encouraging words.
So i had to skip my morning exercise today but I kind of made up for it at night.
Food was good and I had time today to look up some yummy recipes.. I should try them and post them in the recipe thread. Went to visit my dr. got medicine should be good in a couple of days.
I made some healthy chips for myself: just cut up a pita bread to little chunks and threw it in the oven for like 4 min on one side and turn and 4 min on the other. Yummy and soooo healthy and low calorie.
Breakfast: 1 c. ff milk (90), 1 ½ c. Special K cereal (180), 1/2 c. cottage cheese (70) 1 coffee (50) = 390
Snack: 1 Kellogs special K bar (90), 1 kiwi (46) = 136
Lunch: Amy’s Indian palak paneer (270) , 1 ½ c. steamed veggies with seasoning (60), = 330
Snack: toasted pita chips (100), 1 ff yogurt (60)= 160
Dinner: 2 ww bread (80), 1 tbs p. butter (100), 2 tbs sgf jelly (20), 3 c. lettuce, tomatoes, radish, peppers (50) = 250
Dessert: 1 Cinnamon-Banana pita pocket : ½ Joseph’s pita (30), 1 ff caramel pudding (60), ½ banana (55) = 145


Total calories for the day : 1411

Exercise.: morning : none, evening: 1 hr run (4.5 mi/hr) = 500 cal burn
