At least it's Friday tomorrow

Work seems to annoy me more lately than usual. I hope it will pass.
So I had a busy but ok day after all.
In the morning I just couldn't scrape myself out of bed to do any kind of exercise, I even had trouble getting ready for work I was so exhausted.I knew I can make it up tonight at boot-camp and I did.

kind of went crazy this morning, ate an ice-cream sandwich for breakfast.. go figure that!! :eek:

Breakfast: 2 ww bread (80), ½ c. ff cottage cheese (80), 1 c. ff milk (90), 1 tbs wheat germ (25), 1 tbs almonds (85), coffee (50),1 ice cream sandwich (100) = 510

Snack: 1 peach (70), 1 rice cake (50) = 120

Lunch: Lean Cuisine Vegetable Egg roll (310), 1c. ff milk (90), = 400

Snack: 1 100 cal popcorn (100), ¼ c cottage cheese (40), 1 plum (35) = 175

Dinner: 1 pita bread (130), 1 c. lettuce (5), 2.8 oz tofu.(40 ),1 bottle fitness water (20) =195

Dessert :
1 pudding (60)

Total calories for the day : 1460

Exercise: 24 min. elliptical, 35 min. boot-camp and 20 min. elliptical, total of 700 cal. burnt, I don't know the miles on the elliptical, it was set to interval training, level 6.

Calorie Deficit: 1040

Good night everyone, I will be wasting time on the net a little more and then go to sleep.
 
way to make up for not exercising in the morning. I know I don't feel like doing any more exercise even though i had planned on it cause its 11pm and once alex goes to sleep it will probalby be close to midnight by the time i head to bed tonight. my legs kinda feel like jello anyways after doing 15 minutes on the elliptical both yesterday and today. I did a lot better as far as cals today though got to 1200 range today which is still on the low end but not too bad i think i may have a pudding cup before going to sleep as i got a small headache right now. anyways i got almost all my water in before 11pm and still have like 2 cups to drink so i may be up until like 1am playing on the internet winding down once i get alex to sleep. see you tomorrow for sure since i couldn't get on when you were after you got done exercising as alex took 2 hours to go down for his nap today.
 
Hajni when is your rest day?You dont want to overexert yourself with excercise that it starts to affect you negatively;Plus it might be just what you need to help jumpstart your weightloss and youmight just lose 2 pounds next weight in.
I still think your doing great!!!Dont worry about eating the ice cream sandwich for breakfast our body doesnt know its breakfast-LOL

Thanks Rimay!! My rest day this week was last Saturday and I might take it tomorrow also as we have a party to attend and I am supposed to bring my chocolate cookies. That I have to make tomorrow morning, so exercise might not fit in. I try to take one day rest, but then I feel bad about it that day. isn't it strange. I feel I should do somethings and move... Like I am slacking or something... LOL
 
I play with money all day long. :jump:
I am a controller (accountant) for a small company essentially working on everything that has something to do with the company's finances. I supervise all areas of money movement, incoming and outgoing. Also acting as a financial adviser to the owners of our company and a training all employees. Oh and I also act as an IT person from time to time LOL.
I set up budgets, closely monitor actual performance compared to budgets, analyze our financial strenght and point out the weaknesses, always working on cost reduction... you get the idea. I love the job and do it well (ha-ha) the only problem arises when people don't listen... it could be very stressfull at times, especially at month end when I try to close down the month and prepare my financial presentation that could be around 20-30 pages every month.
I always loved numbers and always had the patience for them, otherwise I am an extremely impatient person..LOL
 
Sounds like an interesting job. I can see how it could get stressful at times - especially when people don't want to listen!
 
Friday!!

I had a very busy and interesting day to say the least. Work was crazy and I come home to find my daughter gone with DH's parent to the river on a boat. And they didn't have a cell phone with them and did not come home till 7.00pm. Well, by then I was totally nervous. Everything is fine of course, she had lots of fun!!
My dinner is skimpy as I wasn't concentrating on my eating.

Breakfast:
1 ¼ c. ff milk (113), 1 ½ c Special K Protein Cereal (200), ¾ c. strawberries (45), 1 coffee (50) = 408

Snack: 1 peach (70), 1 rice cake (50) = 120

Lunch: Amy’s Palak Paneer (320), 1 c. ff milk (90) = 410

Snack:
4 stalks of celery (15), 1 ½ tbs red. fat. p. butter. (150) =165

Dinner: 2 slice ww bread (80), 2 tbs sgf jam (20), 1 ff plain yogurt (80) = 180


Total calories for the day : 1283

Exercise: 43 min treadmill in the morning, 350 cal burn, 25 min running at night, burning 250 calories. = 600 cal. burn

Calorie Deficit: 1117

I can't wait for tomorrow's weigh in. I want to be so badly around 158-158.4!! We'll see.
 
It was worth to wait all the way to Sat.!!
I lost 2 lbs last week!!! I am 158 now, officially in the the 150's and never going back!!YAY!!!!! I am so darn happy right now, only 13 more lbs to go!!!
I have to run ,we have a lot of things to do.

Today turned out to be very busy but good after all. We were grocery shopping from 8.00 till 11.15, by the time we got home our friends were already here waiting for us. I quickly put together a fruit salad and baked an acorn squash to bring with my to the party since the host called and said there will be no vegetarian food. Which did not bother me a bit, gave me a chance to make something very filling but low in calorie
My food today is kind of blending one into another… running around grocery shopping and then making preparations for the party…The weather did not cooperate though and was raining most of the time. The only thing I did not like is as soon as I got there nobody asked me if I wanted alcohol (which I did not) the host just shoved a margarita in my hand. So now I was obligated drinking some of it but it kind of made me mad and i think it was inconsiderate.
I just decided to bring my daughter home by her bedtime, so she can have a good night's sleep.


Breakfast: French toast made out of = 4 slices of ww bread (160), 2 oz ff cream cheese (60), ½ c. ff milk (45), ½ c. egg beaters (60), 1 tbs sgf jelly (10) = 335 but my DD ate more than 25 % of this, so the really cal. I ate is around : 280 + 1 peach (70) = 350

Snack: 1 slim a bear ice cream (100), 1/3 c trail mix (180 ) , couple of pieces of cut up fruit while I was making a fruit salad. (50) = 330

Lunch: 2 slices ww bread (70), 1 tbs red. fat p. butter (100), 1.5 tbs sgr jelly (15) = 185, again, DD ate about 25% of this, but I am just going to count the whole thing anyway

Dinner: ½ of baked acorn squash (85), 1 ½ c. fruit salad (120), 2 veggie dogs (160), 3 small potato piece from a potato salad (20), 2 chocolate p.butter cookies (316):(, ½ margarita (84):beerchug: = 785 OUCH



Total calories for the day : 1650

Exercise: none, taking a rest day

Calorie Deficit: I am not going to count cal. deficit and kind of declare this day as break even day, since some of my calories were just estimates and might be even higher than my calculations.
All and all I am ok with these numbers I expected a lot worse, tomorrow I will be exercising and being on track again.
 
Went to see a movie this afternoon, it was great. Did a lot of cooking for next week and now I just have to get all my stuff together for tomorrow.

Breakfast: ½ c. egg beaters (60), 3 slices ww bread (105), 3 tbs sf jam (30), 15 grapes (25), coffee (50), 1 plain yogurt (80) = 340

Snack: 1 jello (10), 1 slim a bear ice cream (100) = 110

Lunch: 2 c. lettuce (10), 2 tomatoes (25), 2 s ww bread (70), 1 slice red. Fat swiss cheese (60), 1 c. ff milk (90), 1 c. frozen strawberries (50)= 305

Snack : ½ c. trail mix (150) , 1 frozen fruit bar (25) = 175

Dinner: 2 ww bread (70), 1 tbs p. butter (100), 1 tbs sf jelly (10) = 180

Dessert : 1 jello pudding (60) = 60

Total calories for the day : 1270

Exercise: 1 hr running on treadmill burning 500 cal, (4 mi)

Calorie Deficit: 1030

looking forward to another successful week, although I doubt I would lose another 2 lbs, I will be happy with about 1 -1.5 lbs. Past experience, 2 lbs/week loss does not happen to me often!!!

You started at the same weight as i'm now, how long did it take you to come down to 158? I know for different people its different, i was hoping to loose 80 by next summer definatelly:)
BTW as we both work in finance, i completely understand you and how stressfull it is sometimes, but i do love it in general too

I am afraid I won't be a good role model for weight loss.:D I started losing nice and steady since I started my diary here, but before it was a lot more struggle. To loose this 42 lbs, it took me a little over 2 years!!!:( I wasn't dedicated or motivated enough. I would concentrate on it and give my 100 % for like 3 weeks and then fall back into my old ways. It was 2 steps ahead 1 step back. If you are really motivated and stick with it, you will lose the weight a lot faster than i did. I take it one day at a time. I don't think about how many more lbs to go or how long it will take, i just decide every morning that today I will do good as far as food goes and I will get my exercise in no matter what. I don't think about that I have to do this tomorrow and the day after.....This helps me.

Monday

Ok, trying to close August at work, I am extremely busy I couldn't even visit any diaries.
The day was successful. I kept on track with my eating, and exercised more than expected. I got to the gym 15 min before my boot-camp started, so I just hopped on the elliptical and after my boot-camp I felt good enough to do another 15 min. Did some walking on the treadmill in the morning also, not running but walking fast.

Breakfast: 2 s. ww bread (70), 1 tbs p.butter (100), 1 tbs jelly (10), 1 c. ff milk (90), coffee (50) = 320

Snack: ½ c. pineapple (40), ½ c, ff cottage cheese (80) = 120

Lunch: Lean Cuisine Pizza (330), 2 c. lettuce (10), 1 c. strawberries (50) = 390

Snack : 100 cal. Pack graham crackers (100), 1 oz. hummus (50) = 150

Dinner: 1 veggie burger (90), 2 s. ww bread (70), mustard, 1 c. lettuce (5) 1 c. ff milk (90), 1 c frozen blueberries (80) = 335

Dessert: 1 jello pudding (60),1 jello (10) = 70


Total calories for the day : 1385

Exercise: 40 min. fast walk on treadmill, 2 mi (250 cal. burned) in the morning at 5.30am, elliptical 2.5 mi (250 cal) 30 min, bootcamp for 30 min (300), = 800 cal burn.

Calorie Deficit: 1215
A little higher than I wanted it to be, but it is too late to make up for it. I try not to eat after 6.30 pm.LOL
Off to check some diaries.
 
its amazing how busy you are, but you always get ur exercise in. Its great that you make that a priority! I was reading your previous post and it reminds me of myself in the past "1 step forward, 2 steps back", but I am determined not fall off, and reading ur journal, and knowing the similiar struggles and success you have had is quite motivating. So, now you know YOU have to keep going so I can keep going LOL
 
Your still kicking butt Hajni! I also took forever to lose weight before because I was not motivated and I really didnt realize how our bodies worked.I thought I could eat what I wanted and still lose:doh: that is the main reason i never lost all the baby wieght with my first child 1,5 year later. This time 8 months later(today is exactly 8 months) I am closer than I would have ever thought and reading journals and writing on the forum really helps.
