What a busy Sunday

After breakfast, my MIL watched my DD and my hubby and I went hiking. We went to see a small waterfall. The first part of the hike was easy and we got to the waterfall then we decided to check out the top and did not take the path, just went straight up. Well, I am no experienced mountain climber for sure and lost my footing a couple of times. On top of that my hubby was always front of me and when he lost his footing, he grabbed on to a piece of moss or something that came lose and came tumbling down right at me, hitting me in the face. Now that was fun... A couple of times I felt I was barely holding on with the nail of my pinky .. but we made it. It was fun but I could have done without a couple of the hairy parts.
After we came home, I cooked, cleaned, and did loads of laundry. All the clothes I went through yesterday...
Food was so-so. I think I am within my calorie limit but it was not really healthy choices...
Breakfast: 1 slice ww bread, 1 plain ff yogurt, 1 c grapes, 1 c. egg substitute
Snack: 1 brownie:eek:
Lunch: Grilled cheese, 2c salad,
Snack: 2 servings of toasted wheat chips, 260 cal.
Then I had : 1/2 c. cookies and cream ice-cream. BAD, BAD. Then another serving of chips. I don't know why I felt eating all bad food...
So anyway, I skipped dinner which is not a good thing but did not want to be over my calories.
I also exercised today. Besides my hiking (have no idea how many calories I burned), just got done running 4 miles, 550 cal. burned.
Still a caloried deficit day I think but not really healthy choices, I have to do better next week.

Hey Hajni, Hope you enjoyed your hiking. I love hiking and wish i was able to do it more often. Anyways, Your kicking butt with the exercise and even if the food choices weren't so healthy its ok like you said to have a cheat day every once in a while just gotta focus again and do better with it next week. I ran in the morning but only 1.5 miles, by the time i was really into it, I had to stop to take my DD to the babysitter and get my ass to work. i had a rough night's sleep, I think because i worked out so late last night, i couldn't fall asleep till well after midnight.
Boot-camp is today, hoping to burn some calories. I realized without exercise I am not losing. I eat healthy for the most part and I always had, my body got used to it I guess.
I think my HRM was one of the most helpful exercise thing I bought. It helps me to count my exercise calories and since i have been doing that I really started losing beyond the mere 0.6 lb/week average I was losing before.
i will update my food and exercise later.
 
Update for today

Pretty good day again.
Got my exercise in, 1.5 mi treadmill, 2.5 mi elliptical, boot camp burning total of 800 cal total.
Food for the day:
Breakfast: : Blueberry protein shake, 1 ww bread w/peanut butter.
Snack: 1 peach
Lunch: Lean Cuisine, tomato-cucumber salad, 1 apple
Snack: milk with whole wheat cereal
Dinner:: 2 slice ww bread, 1 veggie burger, salad, 1 c. fat free milk, 1 apple, 1 fruit bar.

No idea about calories, probably around 1500.
I am really tired, DD will go to bed at 8.00 I will be right after.

Hey Hajni, Your so lucky that you have a treadmill. lol i so need to get a exercise machine at my house.. besides running after alex.. hahah. anyways Your menu sounds good although the lean cuisines and stuff that i looked at to day are expensive i was thinking about buying some but will have to wait till they go on sale. anyways congrats on making your goal of burning 750 or more cals for exercise today. Keep up the great work .
 
Got up way too early today. My DD was up at 4.30 am and she did not want to go back to sleep, so we got up. At 5.30 I put her back to bed and since I was up, just hopped on the treadmill, listened to my ipod and did a full 4 miles, took me 1 hr exactly. Burning 600 cal.
Hubby got annoyed, there will be another shedule change. I am determined to make this exercise thing work, so I will work around his decision. Basically he does not want to drop off DD at the babysitter on the days he has more than 30 min to drive to work. (he is a mason and his jobs are always all over the map) I understand his point, what does it mean for me? Getting up an extra 30 min earlier to get my exercise in, take a shower, get my DD ready, get myself ready and be out the door by no later then 7.00 am. It will be tough for a while for sure. I probably have to get up around 5 am .
Oh well, a little over 15 lbs to lose, hopeful this will get me motivated to lose it as fast as I can and get it over with.
Update on my food later. I am toying with the idea of no exercise after work today. It is raining here and my mood is not the best today.

What kind of music do you listen to on your Ipod? I got a shuffle in April and still haven't loaded anything on it. :(

Well You are doing good girl!!I have a MP3 (still not sure what the difference are between that and a ipod )lol it is the size of a lighter and holds 150 songs I have alot of headbanging music on mine lolKorn,white/Rob zombie,system of a down,Linkin Park,Doors :jump: ..

I believe Ipod is an mp3 player, and it is made by Apple. As to what songs I listen to, I won't be any help. I mostly listen to hungarian music, around the 80's, I am weird like that :)

My day was ok, two LOOONG meetings at work.
My food for the day:
Breakfast: :1c. fat free milk(90), 1c. all bran cereal (150), 1 tbs walnuts (40), 1 tbs raisins (30), 1.5 c cantaloupe(80) = 390
Snack : 6-7 pieces of wheat chips (60)
Lunch: Ethnic Gourmet frozen food (300), 3/4c steamed asparagus (30), 1 fat free plain yogurt (80) = 410
Snack::1 fat free plain yogurt (80), 1 tbs almonds (30)=110
Dinner : : 1 Quorn chicken patty (150), 2 ww bread (80), mustard, lettuce, cucumber salad no dressing (30) 1 c. fat free milk (90), 1 fruit bar (30)= 380

Calories : 1350 I thought this would be higher. I feel full. I have not been counting calories, because I got tired of it. With the amount of exercise I am doing, I might have to make this more??? Any input?

Exercise : 4 miles running on the treadmill, took me an hour with warm up and cool down time, burning 600 cal. After work, strenght-training: 6 min butt, 15 min. abs, 15 min. exercise ball, 20 min. dumbells. These are the ones on Sparkpeople.com I could look up, some of the movements are pretty hard.
 
Hey, thanks for the words of encouragement. I didn't know anyone else who had gone through a WL plateau that lasted this long. I'm upping my time at the gym this week. Hopefully that will break it.

What did you do to get past yours?

Hey Hajni, I was sent an email the other day for a breakfast that you may like to try on like the weekend if you have a chance since i know the weekdays are kinda busy for you. I figured this might help you out a bit and still sounds pretty healthy to me.

Fabulous French Toast

Serves: 8
Serving Size: 1 slice bread each

What's so French about this toast, anyway? Reprinted with permission from HOW IT ALL VEGAN! by Tanya Barnard and Sarah Kramer () Arsenal Pulp Press.

INGREDIENTS
1-1/2 cups soy milk
2 tbsp flour
1 tbsp nutritional yeast
1 tsp sweetener
1 tsp cinnamon
8 bread slices
fruit (garnish)

DIRECTIONS
1. In a large bowl, whisk together the milk, flour, yeast, sweetener, and cinnamon vigorously.
2. Soak 1 slice of bread in batter until bread is gooey.
3. Fry in a non-stick pan or a lightly oiled frying pan on medium heat until golden. Flip and fry other side.
4. Repeat until batter is gone.
5. Garnish with fruit and maple syrup.

NUTRITION INFO
Calories: 162
Fat: 3 g
Carbohydrates: 28 g
Protein: 6 g

Hungarian music - interesting! At least it's motivating you. ;)

I did finally load some songs on my shuffle (a mini ipod.) I just put some of my cds on my computer and added them to my play list.
Maybe if it stops raining, I will test it out with a nice walk and take my dog along too. :)

SweatPea: pretty much I do the same with my mp3 player. I just upload my CD's to my computer and copy the upbeat songs. It makes a whole world of difference to me while running on the treadmill.

Tomorrow is weigh in day for me. Also once the month measurements. I am exited to see how many inches lost. I know it will be a good amount based on how my clothes fit.

Got some 45 min. running in this morning, and i will get another 45 this afternoon, since my turbo jam DVD's are still not back yet.

Ha-ha! SweatPea you did 45 min on the elliptical!! That is just as hard, so I bow down to you!!:) I don't run fast, more like a jog, around 4.2-5 mi/hr depending on my mood. I trained on the elliptical.. after being able to do 30 min straigth on the thing I attempted the jog.. and lasted a full 15 min before I had to stop. One of the shining moments of my weight loss so far!! I was never able to run not even as a kid!!

Tammy, we have a park close to our house and with hills like you are talking about and I still run out of breath walking up on them!!! LOL

Today..

was a pretty good day.
My neck is stiff I think I slept wrong or something, I have to turn my whole body to look to the left side of me!!
My food for the day:
Breakfast: 1 weight control oatmeal, 1 ww bread, 1 oz low fat swiss cheese, 1 c. fat free milk
Snack: 1 orange
Lunch: Lean Cuisine pizza, 2 c. steamed broccoli
Snack: 2 rice cakes, 1 tbs peanut butter
Dinner: 1.5 cup whole wheat pasta with swiss chard, homemade tomato sauce, fat free cheese, 2 melba toast, 15 grapes

Exercise:
45 min running: 350 cal in the morning, 45 min running: 400 cal burn in the evening (I run faster at night for some reason)

Waiting for tomorrow's weigh in and measurements.
