Hajni's Diary: I will do it because I can

Even though you didnt lose weight you lost inches so great job with that!!!
And youe english is great!!Its my first language and I stilll manage to distroy it on a regualr basis-lol

Thanks Rimay for your nice words!!

I am trying to convince DH to invest in a Treadmill at home. We have to have a major rewamping of our schedules and it won't allow me to work out at the rate I am doing now. The park where I run is always deserted ( I live in a rural area kind of ) and I am afraid some crazy might just figure out my schedule. I can cancel my gym membership and will have more time to work out, since I don't have to drive there. Maybe a couple of work-out videos instead of my boot-camp. Pretty much the only time I will be able to work out from now on is in the morning between 5.30-6.45.
He was against the idea last night, but warming up to it. We'll see. Not too mention that I don't think I have the stamina to run outside, I find it very hard. I can run on the treadmill 3-4 miles no problem. It is going to be a big hit on our wallet but if I cancel my gym membership that will make up some of it.
I still would love to go hiking, and walking.. etc.

well, it is raining hard here, no exercise for me today.

ETA: I bought a treadmill today. Hoping to put it together tonight and have my work-out tomorrow morning on it.
I fell off the wagon hard today. I had some fruity puff pastry thing that was about 1500 cal at least, ice cream (not the fat free kind), and all kinds of other food. I probably gained like a lb today.

I have to pull myself together for tommorrow.

Ok, I am back to my routine

I am back to my routine and sticking to it.
Doing well with food today, and just ran 3.65 miles (500 cal) on the treadmill. I was watching a movie and was not even concentrating on the time, it took me about 50 min. I think.

Breakfast:
6 oz egg white (from the box)
1/2 zukkini
5 big strawberries
my coffee
1 Boca sausage
1 tomato sliced

no snacks, I was cooking all morning and had no time for snacks
Have not had lunch either, although I am going to eat something. The smell of cooking always makes me full.
I made 2 Hungarian dishes: potato papricash, stuffed cabbage then I made Vegetarian Soybean loaf, Sun-dried tomato and Bean risotto. This is going to last for whole week.

I am going to run tomorrow morning again, shooting for 3 miles, we'll see how I will do.

woohoo for getting back on track and running again. You can do it. I am so glad that the workout site was a good tool for you. I was doing some of the ab movements that i found on there last night and boy did my abs burn for a while afterwards. It felt great. I am so happy that it will be a good thing for you and me. there are some great workout tips on that site. Well hopefully we will both have great weigh in's and stuff when you weigh in next time. I weigh in tomorrow morning but not sure bout how often to take the measurements. How often do you take your measurements? Ok I am going to clean now see you later.

gotta love having energy plus getting stuff done... lol ok talk to you later
hope you have a great day

HI Heather, thanks for stopping by!! I was a little out of it for the last couple of days but I think I am back to being focused.
I take measurements once in 4 weeks. That is the only way I see a mentionable difference. I only lost like 4 inches since my last measurement. Hope to do better next time.
I am thinking about doing some of the exercises on that site on the days when i am not doing my boot-camp. When I exercise at home, my daughter tries to do it with me, so cute. And then she gets in the way!!
I have to run it's bath-time!!

My Scale Is Broken

It showed 168.5, 162, 167, 167.5, 163 within 5 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ok now I have to buy a new scale.
Now I wonder how accurate my past measurements are ????

Ok are you sure your scale is broken? my scale is a digital one and anytime it does that to me i know its time to put in a new battery. I would check that first if it is a digital one cause that is usually the indicator that its time to change the battery. Hope it was accurate either way.

Thanks Heather!! It is a digital and when I checked, it said the battery is not user-replacable, I would have to send it back to the factory to replace it.
I don't know how much that would cost me, I think I got this scale pretty cheap? I think we bought it in 2002-2003 or so. Should I attempt to send it back , or just forget about it and get one that is actually user replacable battery? i should look up the manufacturers website.

Anyway, I ran this morning, a little over 3 miles, and enjoyed it very much, I am in love with my treadmill!! Boot-camp is tonight, hopefully it won't get cancelled.

1 slice ww bread
1 tbs peanut butter (reduced fat)

Sun-dried tomato risotto (homemade, around 350 cal)

Snack:
1 oatmeal package
1/2 c. fat free milk

Steamed broccoli with some lemon juice and pepper.

Great job on the run!!! I wish I had a treadmill at home-naw I am lying I like getting out of the house but come winter I will wish I had one:)
You meals always look so good and healthy! I hope boot camp is not cancelled tonight-I wish we had a class like that-I loved boot camp when I was in the army it was so much fun for me even though I was sore and dirty alot it was one of the greatest experiences in my life.

Thanks Rimay for stopping by!! I never thought I would be a "treadmill girl". I love nature, love animals, one of my favorite things to do is go hiking, or even biking.. and here I am running on a treadmill, watching my videos!! :)

Had boot-camp yesterday, the class was great. Incorporated some new moves, now I am hurting all over!! Instructor is lucky, we all love her!!
There might be some kickboxing class starting September but in the meanwhile I think I am going to try turbo jam. I need to work out a good 1.5 hrs every day(including running). These lbs just have to go !!!!

I found some old pictures from the time my daughter was born in 2005. OMG!! Was I fat!!! Even my husband was looking at them and looked at me : "I can't believe you were so BIG!! You were as big as a house!!" I love the man, he is so honest!:) So I have to scan them up and post them here. I am glad I looked for them, now when I feel like whining about no loss I just have to take a look and give me an extra inspiration!!

Ok, half-way there pictures

I got inspired by other posters to finally post my pictures in my diary. My DH took the pictures and insisted on my head to be "cut off" LOL.
These are the half way pictures, I will call them. I will post the highest weight pictures maybe tomorrow, I have to find a way to scan them first. I am about 166 on these.
Be kind!! I know I have a way to go but I also know the long way I have come.
Hajni

Edited: I added a photo with my clothes on. I think it hides most of it!! I am the one with the jean shorts.

YAY weve got pics!!!! I totally see you can hide your weight easily. I cant wait to see the before pics.
I saw a video of my after my first son was born and it was scary I was huge-This time around I weighted more 97 kilos to be exact but I hid it well. You will be glad you took these pictures they are great motivation and you can not really hide or take flattering pictures when your in your undies-LOL

My before pictures.

Ok, I scanned the one picture I found that shows how big I was!!. The first one was taken when my daughter was 11 days old back in 2005, ignore the '98 on the picture, the date feature of the camera was broken. I think I was between 205-210 at the time although for the first 6 weeks postpartum, I lost about 7-8 lbs, so pretty much started from 200. I put it side by side with my current picture,it was taken on my vacation to Hungary around May 15th, 2007, I am about 166 on this picture. Well, I should have done this sooner, I definetely see the difference!!.

yay we got pics of you

i can totally see a difference in the before pic and the new pics. I need to find a pic of me right after i had my son. I was pretty big but not as much as i weigh now. i am actually heavier now then i was when i had my son but now i am only about 12 lbs heavier now then 3 years ago. but that's cause i have already lost almost 10 lbs since i started 2 weeks ago

keep up the good work. i so need to get me a treadmill or ellipitical. i miss working out at a gym but since they cost so much i can't afford it. I would also say if you can just buy a new scale with a user replaceable battery instead of sending the one you have back cause it will probably cost you just as much to send it in as it would to buy a new one

Ordered a new scale

I ordered a new scale, it should be here within a week or so, until then I have to use my old one. Tomorrow is my weigh in. I am already dreading it. I was 165.5 this morning but for some miracle overnight I will gain a lb just like last week!!

hi

Its great that your new scale should be here soon. what kind did you get? I made a shake for breakfast too but the flavors were a little weird since i didn't have plain yogurt only flavored.. so it had a lot of different stuff.. lol

anyways hope your weigh in isn't too bad but even if the scale does go up remember your on tom and that always tends to add weight to things.

hope your having a great day.

I can definitely see the diffrence I hate post partum pictures!LOL
I like how you listed 4 ice cubes-LOL that was cute-LOL
Hope your scale get there fast!!

Thanks Rimay, thanks Heather!!

My scale is on its way, should get here Sat. I ordered it from Amazon, it is Omron and supposed to measure BMI and body fat content.

So my weigh in day is today, well 0.5 lb is a loss I guess.

Oh, and I said I was going to take a rest day yesterday but I got so antzy and I felt bad that I did not move my big butt the whole day, that I got home from work and jumped on the treadmill for 2 miles. Not much but I felt better afterwards!!

Just a note: treadmill calorie counts are a way off. I knew that before but now I experienced it. I have an HRM that measures calories. I ran this morning, I kind of did a HIIT session (a beginner one), but I accidentally unplugged the key so I have no idea how many miles I did altogether. The treadmill said I burned 420 calories, my HRM said I burned 325. Big difference.
Oh, and my resting heart rate IS low. I still haven't had the stupid blood-work done, this Sat. I am going. My resting heart rate is 49-55 ??
Oh, and I had this nice reward schedule at the beginning of my diary I think I am up to rewarding myself like I was weighing 150!! Ha-ha.
With August here I am really really trying to get down to the 150's.

My food for the day.

Breakfast:
1 c. oatmeal
Some frozen fruits
coffee

Snack
1 small apple

Lunch
1 Lean Cuisine Mushroom Pizza ( I know I eat a lot of these!! So convenient!)
1.5 c. mixed salad no dressing
1 c. strawberries

Snack
Rice cakes

Dinner
???? I will update later
Update: had a bowl of cereal, cheerios with fat free milk, and strawberries. Not much of a dinner, but I loved it!!
And as a desert I treated myself to one of the fruit pops, no sugar, no nothing, like 30 cal. Awesome!!
