Hajni's Diary: I will do it because I can

Weekend went by so fast.
Kept on track with calories consumed,1 hr elliptical yesterday, but today I only went for a slow 1 hr walk, I don't think I burnt many calories.
Tomorrow morning I start work at 9.00 so I will be exercising in the morning before work on my elliptical.
I really have to sign up to the gym so I can go there in the mornings.
 
Signed up in the gym for the next 3 months.
They have all sorts of classes, I am hoping to make most of them. Today I signed up for cycling (55 min). I heard it was very intense and not exactly a beginner's class. We'll see. I am exited to go and throw a little twist into my boring exercise routines.
Right on track though. I exercised every day this week so far and kept with my food. I will be reaching 144 lbs by Christmas!!
By the way I peeked at the scale and it showed me something I really didn't like but it happened before. I know at the end my hard work will pay off.They say "average" weight-loss is two lbs/weeek and it is true. One week I lost 3.8 lbs, last week was 1.4lbs and I worked just as hard and watched just as closely what I ate. So this week might be another one of those weeks but I know I will probably make up for it next week!!

So 15 min into it i felt like dying and it was an hour class.
I did the whole class and signed up for next Monday. Tomorrow is rest day for me.
I really worked hard today, needed the shock to my system from the same old boring thing.
Kept with food, even forgot to eat my snack before exercise but that's ok.
 
Been working out 6 times a week for the past 4 weeks. Haven't gone over my calories once. Lost 7 lbs.
Have 2 more weeks to lose 4 more lbs... gotta do it!!

Went to the gym today at 5.45 am for a cycling class. First and last time I think. I didn't really like it much. Too early and I didn't have enough energy to get a real good workout.

I'm totally addicted to spinning now! I feel it's the best cardio work out I have ever got. I usually start sweating after 5 minutes! Keep it up, your doing great!
 
Had my 4th spinning class on Wednesday. I like the class, like the music, the trainer. It gives one of the hardest work-outs.
But, even with that my weight only went down to 147.6. Which is 0.8lb loss from last week. A bit disappointed because I worked really hard, kept on with food, no junk.
Anyway, just keep working at it, even if slow it is still going to the right direction!!
Have a Christmas party on Friday, start of the Holiday spirit and overindulge. I will be really good.
 
A loss, is a loss! You're doing all the right things and it the worst time of year for temptations!

hello hajni.. congrats on even a .08 lb weight loss. like you said its still going in the right direction. sometimes our bodies don't always do what we would like to see but since your mixing things up now i am sure in no time you will be at your goal. keep going and your doing great.
 
Back from yo-yo land.
Gaining, losing, gaining losing.

So I am at the losing phase again. Started the work-out regimen I am used to last Monday. I am at 149.4 currently.
About 3 weeks ago I was down to 146.8 and then stopped watching, stressed out.etc.
My gym membership expires at the end of February, I need to make as much out of it as I can until then and see if I want to renew.
Goal is the same as it always been.

You have always been good about the exercising- I'm sure you
will do great.

Isn't weird (and frustrating) how just a few weeks of not tracking
food intake can effect your body? I don't know about you, but
it's not like I pig out or binge, but if I am not diligent about what
I am eating and how much of it, it can get out of hand real fast!

I look forward to sharing our stories . . and PROGRESS in the coming
weeks!

Yes I am the same way. I don't pig out but if I don't watch it closely it can really add up (and shows on my waist...:)

Went to the gym last night for cycling. I am loving it. We had a different instructor this time, different style, lots of slow hard hills and it really gave me a great work-out. I wish I could go more than just two times a week but it doesn't fit into my schedule in the afternoons and they don't have morning classes for the right time for me.

Right on track with eating, keeping close eye on the calories. Pre-planning my food for the day, making sure it is nutritious for the calories.
My snacks are usually fruits or a yogurt.

Gotta run. weight days for me now are Mondays. Changed from Friday so I will watch it closely on the weekend.!!
 
Right on track. I think I will have a great weigh-in on Monday if I watch it through the weekend.
I feel the change in my clothes more than anything.
It is interesting how most people lose a lot of weight the first couple of weeks of starting a weight-loss program.
I am the opposite. I am getting close to the end of 2nd week and now it starting to show on the scale it wouldn't budge before. But I am used to it so I don't give up easily.
I really would like to be around 142 by the end of February.

Had cereal for breakfast, lunch is frozen food (Friday...) and dinner is a nice salad. Watching my salt intake as well.
My daughter was sick the past couple of days and I didn't catch it from her. Usually I do.
Tomorrow I am going cycling again to the gym. So on average I cycle 2x week, work out at home 2x a week and make the gym 2x week. I have one rest day. Some weeks it becomes two.
 
The weekend is almost gone and I stayed on track. Went to the gym yesterday for 1 hr cycling and I worked out at home today for 45 min on the treadmill.
Cooked all sorts of food for the next week: tofu, zucchini, quiche...etc.
I am all set for the week.

Tomorrow morning is weigh in. Hope to see a great number on the scale if today was any indication!
 
Weigh in day!!

Although the number I saw today is higher than the past two days it is still 2.2 lbs loss from last week!! Drumroll please !!
I am proud of myself and will keep continue.
most important: my clothes are fitting me a lot better, I like what I see in the mirror (regardless of the weight)...

Another strong week here I come!!!

Thankfully hubby and I are not used to celebrate things with food so Valentine's day will not be a problem... :)
 
I have some minor stress in my life which prevented me from staying on track the past two days food wise. I actually didn't get my recommended food intake, I skipped lunch and dinner both days only ate breakfast I couldn't stomach anything else.

Which gave me a good number on the scale but not really a good feeling. I know it is not "real" weight-loss just water weight.

I am going to try to stick to my planned menu for today. It is snowing right now and supposed to get worse as the day goes on. I have a cycling class at 6pm in the gym, I wonder if I am going to make it, if it gets cancelled..etc.
I will work out either way today, either in the gym or at home, I won't let a little snow deter me!!

I am right on track for my goal for the end of February. have to figure something fun out for the weekend on Valentine's day. Have no clue what.
 
Monday 15th,

Last minute yesterday hubby figured out we should go to a brunch buffet which we did. I ate so much... I knew that was going to be my only meal for the day so I was ok with that.
I also skipped exercise. This week I actually skipped exercise 3 times. One day because of the snow, some other days because of lazyness.

I expected a bigger loss as I saw a smaller number on the scale for most of the week but still can't complain given the eating yesterday and the lack of exercise.

146.0 lbs!! So a loss of 1.2 lbs from last week. I have to step it up a notch for the next two weeks to lose the 4 lbs I want by the end of February.
 
Thursday, 18th

Right on track, was 144.6 this morning.
Now this is the time I need to stay focused. I always seem to lose focus just before I reach my goal, It is not much to go.... Keep focused....

Have 13 more days to lose 2.6 lbs. I know it is absolutely doable. I just need to keep focused...

That's it for today. Some self motivation.

Back again.

149.2lbs this morning. Yeah, the yo-yo game I just can't seem to win.
My brother is coming to the States to visit me on May 26th.
So that's my new goal. I have 8 weeks till then to lose about 10 lbs. If I put my mind to it i will succeed. Now I just have to convince my mind... LOL

Watched my food since Monday, consuming around 1300 cals/day.
Went to exercise yesterday to the park, 4 miles jog/walk.
