Gynecomastia Chest Question

aite, lemme break things down.... im 15, 5 foot 10, 145 lbs. almost two years ago my doc said i had a small case of gynecomastia. two years later i went for a checkup, she says i dont have it anymore. however, there is still fat around my nipple area. i started doing full body workouts over the summer, and ive gone from benching 10 reps, 3 sets of 55 lbs to 10 reps, 3 setse of 75 lbs. will bench pressing burn the fat off of my nipples and make muscle, or is there somethin else i should be doing for that? thanks in advance!~

Did she do a biopsy? Ultrasound? If not, there is no visable way to tell the gyno is 100% gone.

i took my shirt off, she viewed my pecs, i asked her if i still had gyno, she said no. she told me that i should start doing some chest exercises and the fat will go away. my question is that am i doing the right workout for burning chest fat?

There is no way to burn 'chest fat' as opposed to fat any where else. If you eat right and do mild amounts of cardio you will lose fat. It will be from all over, there's no way to target the pecs.

yeah you can't spot reduce. just like crunches won't help you get rid of fat around your midsection, chest excercises won't burn the fat on your chest. it will, however, develop and tone the muscle so if you diet right and put yourself into a caloric deficit (search for the term on the forums) you will start to see results.

It sounds like your doc doesn't understand the difference between 'too much chest fat' and 'testosterone and estrogen levels got outta whack and you developed breasts like a woman'.
The former is simply an issue of bodyfat being too high, the latter is a hormone imbalance that needs to be treated and possible corrected by surgery.

time for a second opinion, or a real doc.
