Gunner-Mission Log.

Wow great job on the weight loss so far!! Yeah power walking is awesome for loosing weight, I'm currently going to a gym now but a couple years back I mostly lost all my weight through power walking/light jogging, so it's definitely an effective tool for weight loss. Good luck on the rest of your journey!

@ Cybermama... yeah Shahrukh and Kareena... I'll be sure to pass on your best the next time they drop in !! :smilielol5: Are you much into bollywood?

not really... my sister is into bollywood but im into hollywood... but i do love Dil Se and Dev Das! I think these 2 are the only bllywood movie that I really sit down and watch from start till end.

Scale reads 86.6

I have lost 3 Kgs clear over a period of about two weeks with exactly one day for a break.

Extrapolating, I should lose the remaining 14 Kgs by mid January 2009...well before my target date of Mid March 2009.

Actually, I think I should lose it even before that, because my cardio efficiency should increase as I exercise more and so I should be burning it off at a higher rate.

Whatever... I think it's important not to slacken off if I find the going good.

@Cybermama... Dil Se and Devdas? Those two movies are poles apart in every way except for the fact that they are both tragedies... in itself a rarity in Bollywood...and of course, both feature Shahrukh.

Hollywood's neat too. Though we have the big releases a few weeks later than the western world, I look forward to them with much anticipation... Last one I saw on the big screen was Wanted...waiting desperately for Quantum of Solace now...

I saw Wanted a few months back. Really not a great movie. Ridiculous and unrealistic.. well, thats what everyone also said.

Last movie I saw was Big Stan.. also not so great movie. Will be watching Tropic Thunder tomorrow..

Well, those 2 movies does feature shahrukh, ive actually seen the first part of a few shahrukhs movie but none managed to glue me to the seat right to the end like those 2. I cried and cried.. haha..

86.5 Today...

Could have been down another couple of hundred grams had it not been for some dietary indulgence yesterday evening...

80 minutes on the mill...9.7 kilometers...920 calories...

For anyone else planning to take up walking... I have to say that the music that you walk to makes a world of a difference...good music that you can use as a metronome for your steps helps maintain your walking speed and breathing rhythm...makes you feel less fatigue.

I found that "Heavy Fuel" and "Money for Nothing" by Dire Straits hit the sweet spot in terms of beats per minute for my walk at 7 kmph... really have to find 80 minutes worth of such music...

@CM... well as far as movies go, give me unrealistic and ridiculous any day! As a matter of fact, the more far out the better... Sci-fi, Horror, Fantasy, Adventure and Action... thats what I want to see when I'm spending my money at the movies... realistic and serious i see enough of for free on the news...heh.

anyways... to each his own, hey?

cheers!

Back On!

Hello again,anyone...
I was last here about one and a half years ago.
Painful as it may be to admit it- my mission failed.

It went pretty well for a time actually, and I came down to 82.5 kgs by end November 2008.

How did I screw it up? Well... I rewarded myself with a break, and never went back to my regime.

May 10th, 2010- Today I find myself back where I started... heavy in the midsection and touching 90 kgs on the scales (not an exact weight...I even gifted away my bathroom scales, thinking I would never need them again...)

Anyway, spilled milk and bygones and what-have-you...

The mission is back on.

I'll have a new ticker up tomorrow.
