Guideon's diary of change

I've never made it to the next level on 30 day shred, as I only did a week, lol. Let me know how that goes!

Yup, weekends are tough! For me it's not beer, but food that I always struggle with. The weird thing is that it's not even because of cravings. It's stupid stuff like we end up with company and order pizza or we're running late so we'll stop and order some chicken and potato wedges or something like that. Oh well... I'm happy with 5 days being strict with food intake and 2 with whatever I really want.

Sounds like you had a great weekend though which is nice to hear. :)

you're right Brawny! Back at it :)

So this morning day 2 of level 2 of 30DS, exercises are a little more intense than in level 1 (which is to be expected), Risty. Come onAngel, catch up with me!
Run planned for later tonight Nostalgic, hopefully it has cooled down somewhat by 9.

And Sunit's not stupid beer, it stupid Guideon (or Sunflower ;) ) for not knowing when to stop :p

Mandy, so true. The weekend always feels like a time to loosen up a bit. I should be strict then as well, but never am. Oh well, means it'll take longer to reach GW, it doesn't mean I won't get there.

I also find it hard to get myself to cook with these temps, really don't want to be at the stove in this heat. So I'm eating salads most of the time, which is good as long as I keep the dressings in check.

Hmmm because of the heat I'm going running later tonight, so for the first time I'm eating dinner before a workout..

Feels so.....wrong. :p

I quote my old and crusty college football coach..."Men, a hungry dog hunts best"

How was the post meal run?

And back again!
Nice interval run, but got screwed by a railroad crossing (2 freighttrains take a long time to pass). So my first interval was kind of lost because of it, and I forgot all about it, so my training ended when I tought I had one more interval to do...
So I was face with a choice, walk home (which feels like this on those heavily padded runningshoes):

Or tack on 2 more km's at a reasonable pace.

So did the latter.
Total: 12 km.
And it wasn't that warm at all.

Depending on what kind of training I'm doing somewhere between 1 hour 5 mins and 1 hour 15 mins.
At race-pace it should be an hour or just slightly less.

Sounds like a good amount of time.
I'm just not a runner myself. I tried with hubby once and didn't last 5 mins lol

He always says " ahh, look at that nice couple running together" so when we are walking past shops I say "ahhh, look at that nice couple shoe shopping together" :D

I struggle with eating before a run and sometimes I struggle with eating after a run too. I think it's recommended that you eat at least 2 hours before a run which is hard in the evenings.
