Ground Breaking Realizations....

Day #8

I met all of my goals yesterday!!! Although, I will admit I haven't been keeping strict dibs on the water situation, but I am going to start doing that today! One step at a time right? I am so excited! I only have to loose 1.2 pounds to meet my goal weight loss for this week and I have three days to do it :D At first I was bumbed looking at my weight loss so far. 3.8 pounds? That sounded so small. Then I realized that I was almost to my goal weight loss of five pounds, and if I lost five pounds every week (which I know is wishful thinking, but hey I'm allowed) I would loose 60 pounds by christmas and weigh 210 pounds!!!! If I'm a size 20 right now would I be like a size 16? Oh my, i'd be so happy. Shoot. I'll be happy with 10 pounds :p So to say the least I'm pretty happy!

I am very excited about this weekend. Saturday Berger (My Mini-Schnauzer is getting a hair cut :p ) I think while i'm at pets mart i'm going to buy some doggie seat belts (yes i am strange) and take my puppies to the beach early sunday morning and go for a long walk. It is nice to walk in the a/c, but sometimes you just want to get out side! Plus, we've never taken Reeses to the beach so that should be fun. I'll try to walk a couple of hours with them so I won't feel so guilty about some cheating i know i'll probably do this weekend. Oh well, enough blabbing...

Short-Term Goal by 10/31/06: 250 pounds
Long-Term Goal by 12/25/06: 210 pounds

Approximate Weekly weight loss Goal: 5 pounds

Current Weight as of 10/4/06: 265.6 pounds

Daily Goals:
Calorie consumption: Less than 1500
Time on Tread Mill: 1 hour
Walk During Lunch Time: 30 minutes
Crunches: 200
Water: 6 bottles
Walk stairs at work: twice

Top Five Halloween Costumes I had to pick for my dog this year (yes I know this is totally off the topic of loosing weight, but it is fun!)

5. And, the halloween costumer that I decided on was::: A TRICERETOPS!

Day #9

Okay, so no one told me no for eating a milk shake, so i ate one, but i'm not going to feel guilty. a day off from freaking out about my calorie count shouldn't kill me, plus I went and had a few drinks and a few cheese sticks last night :rolleyes: But, I had a great time, and I think that is really important too. My husband and I sat around talking about a game plan for my weight loss :D as I at a cheese stick we decided that if I loose at least 40 pounds by january i am going to put a kayak on lay-a-way at Academy (i have always wanted a kayak.) It will take me another 3 months to get it out, so by march I will try to loose another 20-30 pounds, get it out and start kayaking. By that time I will be at about 200 pounds. Never thought I would be so excited to weight 200 pounds :rolleyes: !! Also, in January my hubby (who has a very extensive knowledge of weight lifting) is going to start weight training with me so that i can get really toned up. THEN, around October I hope to have lost 30 more pounds, and me and my husband are planning a trip to Disney Worl :D . And, that will be my over all reward for loosing a total of 100 pounds!! Of course eventually I would like to get down to around 150, but that can be way more gradual.

I love making plans. They are always so optomistic. Just thinking about it makes me want to go exercise. :rolleyes:

SO, since I'm all hiped up now I am going to do something I never thought I would do. Usually I decrease my goals for the weekend because I know it is more tempting to cheat. But, why do I do this? It is silly! I have more time to do stuff so I should. So below are the goals for the weekend (which is a three day weekend! :D ) I can't post on the weekends so I will let ya'll know how I did on Tuesday, and I will also do my official one week way in!

Walk Dogs Parameter of Apartment Complex: 6 times (God help me with my Schnauzers, they are really bad at walking on leashes, but I will try. Plus I will walk them seperately which will me I actually walked them 12 times!)

Top Five:
Top Five Women whose body I would die to have:
1. Beyonce
2. Renee Zelwegger (when she is kinda thicker)
3. Brooke Burke
4. Natalie Portman (I just think she is beautiful even though she is a little too skinny for me)
5. And the all time woman who's body I would love to have is: catherine zeta jones, she is so beautiful and not usually a twig

i am going to put a kayak on lay-a-way at Academy

a friend of mine got one of those open ocean type kayaks at academy and she loves it. She takes it out to Texas city and sometimes clear lake and the weight is just melting off of her. Have fun with it.

I will! I live in seabrook so it is perfect location. The only reason I don't get it now is because my husband would never let me put it on top of his car. He is a car guy and well, ya know how that goes. But in January we are getting a 1,000 dollar beater and I can strap anything on the top of that! I am so excited! Plus I get to take my doggies with me :D

Oh, and this is off topic, but once i finally finish college I want to be a teacher, and every summer I want to travel some where new and go kayaking. I have always always wanted to kayak down a fjord in Norway. It is so beautiful there.

Oh my gosh Mahatt! Thank you! I am so pumped now! I AM going to loose that weight, and I am going to Norway after I finish college. That has always been my dream, and I know I can do it.

This weekend was okay, can’t say I met all my goals, but I can say I met my weight loss goal. Well, I was short .2 pounds, but whatever. I lost 4.8 pounds. SO I’m really happy! Next Monday I should be below the 260 mark! I can’t wait!

I have no doubt you'll get to see the beutiful countryside of norway up close and personal.
Reading your diary, especially the top fives reminds me there is more to this than the gruntwork and the hard stuff. You seam very positive and its infecting my spirits everytime I stop buy, so thank you.

Okay, so, as everyone at my work says, I have to put an end to the madness. I am doing okay, but I want to do better. I know the only way I'll do better is if I am more structured and feel more accountable. So, today I am going to post back a lot today to say whenever I meet a goal. I know this is redundent, but it is what I need. That way every body knows if I meet them or not so I better get my butt in gear! :p I'm going to try to lay out most of my goals so they can be met at work. When I get home it is so much harder to do all these things, plus I can't post the results

Here are my goals for today:::

At work:::
>Drink 8 glasses of water (2 by 9:30am, 2 by 12pm, 2 by 2:30 pm, and 2 by 4 pm.)
>Walk the stairs @ work 4 times (at 9:30am, 11:30am, 2pm, and 3:30pm)
>Walk at lunch for 45 minutes

At Home:::
>200 regular crunches, 100 to the sides
>1 hour dance dance revolution
>2 hours on tread mill. (One hour when I get home, and one at 9:00 pm)

Food:::
1 Cereal
1 Dr. Pepper
1 bowl of oatmeal
1 serving chicken
1 serving rice
1 serving apple sauce

Top Five:

Top Five things I'll wear once I meet my weight loss goal:::
1. A bikini, oh yeah
2. One of those cute skimpy workout outfits
3. A mini skirt (maybe never out of the house, but i will wear one drn it)
4. Some really tight sexy jeans!
5. Last but not least a sexy little black dress


My husband is going to be the happiest dude in the world! :D
 
Doing good so far, two glasses water down, working on my third. Just got finished doing the stairs. hopefully the rest of the day will go this smoothly.

WOWZER on all that hard workout routines you gotta be sore I was
sore reading it.I managed a couple times to do 60 crunches by tummy
will only tolerate 50 tops lol! Congrats to ya! Have a gr8 day Tammy:)

Thanks, actually crunches are really easy for me to do. i don't know, i get started, feel the burn, and then I just can't stop. I like doing them when I'm watching the simpsons, During the commercials I just lay down and start-a-crunching
 
Okay, so I can not drink any water. I think maybe the water at my work has something wrong with it? It really tastes bad. Either that or I am just sick of water. I managed five glasses, and I'll try to drink three once I get home. That should be doable.

Here I go to walk the stairs! It is kind of funny I get so excited about it. I get a great rush of energy and happiness after I'm done. If anyone else works in an office and sits all day I would really recommend this. It really wakes you up.

Maybe it is the water at the office. I like my water here, it's good (as good as water gets, I guess!), but I do get sick of it. That's when I add a little bit of Crystal lite to it.
 
I gained a pound :mad: I really worked hard yesterday so it kinda makes me sad :( , but! I think it might be because of all the water I drank yesterday, so I'm not going to worry. I wasn't supposed to weight in until Friday anyway, but I just couldn't wait :rolleyes: So, I guess it is my own fault. I did really good yesterday. The only thing was I only spent 30 minutes on the tredmill because I was so tired I almost fell asleep while I was walking!

Oh, I did cheat today. I got a honey chicken biscuit from whataburger. Yes I am bad :rolleyes: I am addicted to those things! Usually I don't get them, but I've been riding with my mom to work lately, and she is always like, "Ya wanna stop by whataburger? And, I say, I shouldn't, but I still do :( ...So I'm gonna skip lunch because I am sooooo full, and I need to make up for all those calories I ate this morning.

So here is the break down for today:

4 times up and down the stairs at work,
45 minute walk at lunch,
5 glasses of water at work,
300 crunches,
1 hr dance dance revolution
1 hr tredmill

Top Five Vacations I want to go on after I loose weight:::

1. Norway to do the Kayak thing
2. Japan to go shopping for really cool clothes, and to make my hubby happy, and to sing in a cool japanese karaoke bar (i love karaoke)
3. An Alaskan Cruise (Aaron [my hubby] and I are going to renew our wedding vows on this trip when we take it and I am going to wear a beautiful dress I would never have been able to wear before :p )
4. Disney World
5. Hawaii (Here comes the bikini! :cool: )
 
I haven't lost or gained weight, so I guess that is alright. :rolleyes: This week I am determined to loose 5 pounds! It is really raining here so I won't be able to walk at lunch, but I'll try to do the stairs a lot during that time. Finally have some okay (well, they look awful but they're accurate) before pictures. Hopefully by Christmas I'll look a lot different:::
