Does anybody here have any experience receiving or applying for a government grant? I am looking into a grant for business expansion, but there are a lot of ripoffs out there.

Please do. I would love to check into a grant to pay off my father in law (loaned money for truck) and perhaps get a second truck for my business. Maybe she could help, whats the price for her services?

im a grant writer too haver you checked with your local sbda or edc? usually the sbda has someone that can help you look for grants and other funding (even loans at low low interst rates or ones that you dont have to pay back if you do xyz) that they can do for you free of charge or for a sliding fee (they get grants from the sstate to do this).
otherwise i can help you if i know more about the size of your business, etc. if you have a grant in mind thaty ou just need written, etc. grants require a lot of paperwork so youll need your financials, business plan, etc.

Well my father was talking to a guy who filled out some forms online and was able to aquire $100K grant that had to be repayed. He said something about equipment type grant/loan.

edc is economic development council (every town has one)

Well I am not sure to much about the grants, I know just very base knowledge of them. I will say that I am very familiar with ebay. I have made a living from doing it in the past and I know people that still do. Selling on ebay is easy, its what you sell and how you sell it that is the hard part. What exactly are you looking to know from getting that package? Most of those packages set you up with wholesale goods to sell. Most times it is figurines, discount unpopular dvds and so forth. Basically stuff that is hard to move.
Leigh those arent wholesaler sites. Those are grant writing products. Im looking at grant options for my transportation business.
