Got to do it this time

hello everyone!. Iam a medical student and reason of my weight gain is busy schedule and lots of studying and emotional eating :-( I took the last exam i was supposed to take yesterday only and now I want to be back in action. Writing a diary is a great idea, and to begin my struggle against the excess lbs its a good tool.

-- My target is to lose 40 lbs eventually but my immediate target is to lose 20 lbs in next 3 months.

i plan to workout + follow weight watchers diet for next 12 weeks.My workout will comprise of 30-40 minutes morning walks and 40 minutes of treadmill/elliptical in the evening in gym.
After 1st week of this schedule.
I plan to add weight training in second week and additional 10 minutes to my exercise time both morning and evening.

My husband is very supportive and he has decided to accompany me in the evening time to the gym, we have together decided to quit junk and cook healthy food at home.


I will Stick to it! Once i have begun writing diary, I've already accomplished a huge step toward my target weight — but I will use it regularly. I'll Record successes and failures.

day1: morning walk 45 minutes. no exercise in evening, but I was with my friend in afternoon walking and played a game of tennis, so I pardon myself for not exercising in evening. Tomorrow is a new day and I am going to start walking early morning. And 18 points weight watchers diet! way to go!!!
 
Day 2: 1 hour morning walk and now I am going to the GYm to exercise 40 minutes! Yeah I can do it. I can stick to the regimen. Todays diet: 2 glasses orange juice and a small piece of rum cake.(couldnt avoid it) :-(
But will burn extra 200 cals in the gym!
I need to increase my water intake.

way to go for getting off to a great start... remember consistency is the name of the game and is what will get you to your goal... Just take it day by day and a little rum cake will fall into everyone's life - enjoy it and keep going...

thanks for your sweet words... OK SO I found an exercise partner in my area and hurray we walked for 2 hrs. this morning
I am keeping a watch on my diet and till now, its going goood.
Today evenings target: 3-4 sets of 20 sit ups. and toning my arms and shoulders and 30-40 minutes of cardio.
yeeehhh. I can do it.
 
day 4: 2 hrs walk with exercise partner and 20 minutes of weigh training in gym... seems like a good day to me. Working out is such a pleasure, I mean I felt fresh and confident the entire day. and I am watching my eating tooo. Me n hubby n a few friends are going for a weeks vacation this sunday to orlando. I have to make sure that I watch my diet on the trip. On a vacation overeating is toooooo easy. and junk is plenty so I have to be really strict with myself.....

you do a lot of excercise don't you!!!! i just about manage 30-50 mins a day roughly.

u may have mentioned this somewhere but...how tall are you??

We plan to visit theme parks like Universal and water parks..
Day5: 1 hour walk and heavy brakfast... oh god I need to have lighter lunch and dinner due to really greasy breakfast. Today is a shoppping day for the upcoming trip.... I'm excited....
100 abs to be done before evening and 20 minutes cardio in the evening.

I love walking and since I'm in miami, weather is awesome and I love going for morning walks next to the bay( which is near my house)

wow you've got a great hight and a great place to live!! am jealous. where i am there is hardly any sun...it is freezing and gets dark by 3:30....not good!!! summer should be better though.

hey dnt be jealous, I have lived lived in FL and never seeen snowfall... so I like snow and winter.. see its always like that ...you want what you dont have! ;-)

JUNK JUNK JUNK.. I had junk today!!! On top of it couldnt go to the gym in the evening friends and husband made a plan to hang out on friday evening.. though I love the fact that we will be having fun, but.. no gymmmmmmm... so tomorrow morning gottta work out! Happy friday everyone!
 
Day 7: Goood news! Lost 2 lbs this week. yipppee! Going to orlando trip tomorrow, will be back in a week. I want to maintain the lost weight on the trip and I am going to watch my diet... reallly.. I cant afford to gain these lbs back. Have to maintain them..
