Good Snacks

Just wondering if anyone had any good snacks they'd like to share with everyone.

I always try to keep something on me in case I get tied up at work or something.

- granola bar about 140 calories, whole grain honey and raisins.
- carrots
- packaged tuna
- fruit

There are times when I crave something a little different so I'm always looking for new snacks for my in-between meals...

- almonds I've been eating the peanut guy ones but there another brand that has some smokehouse flavored ones(tasty) 48 nuts per serving, 1 serving = 170 calories 2g net carbs
- whole grain snacks cheddar flavor is my favorite
- dried cranberries
- dark chocolate (every now and then)
- jello
- applesauce (unsweetened)
- jerky (I even made some myself) was great
- various veggies

I try to mix it up a little. I was wondering if anyone had some other suggestions. I'd be glad to hear them.

I like Rice cakes ( caramel, white chedder, and plain), sugar free jello, sugar free popsickles, pickles, almonds, trail mix ummm I think that's all I really snack on

Gherkins wrapped with slices of chicken.
The best thing I've ever learned from my granny.

sugarfree chewing gum.

Hard boiled eggs...with salt.

Carrots

Actually mainly gherkins with slices of chicken. :p

I love the 100 calorie snack packs of kettle corn (pop secret I think)
string cheese (yum!)
for sweets I'll usually do a cup of nestle carb select hot cocoa (25 calories)
but my favorite is pria power bars (110 calories, 6 gm protein per bar and they taste like candy bars!)

I would second the suggestion of a trail mix, though I'd say make your own, because then you won't get all those preservatives.
Suggestions for ingredients:

Pumpkin seeds
Almonds
Chopped dates
Dried papaya
Raisins
Flax seed
Shredded coconut
Dried banana chips

If i'm going somewhere for a long period of the day, I make fresh juice and put it in a thermos flask.

This is taken from a fitness magazine. Now granted all of these aren't wow oh so healthy choices, but my motto is if you don't cheat a little, you will freak the hell out and attack a krispy cream doughnut man one day.
