Good posture exercises

I have a bed posture. But I have heard form my friend that bed posture can be fixed by certain exercises that can straighten my posture up and achieve the perfect posture.

Does any one know what exercise would help or what muscles should I exercise to get from the posture I have attached in this topic? Or maybe some one even came through the same process already?

Rounded shoulders are usually due to tight pectoral muscles and weak rhomboids. Due some static stretching of the pectorals to help alleviate the muscle imbalance.

You should be doing a full body workout routine, which should include bent over rows, high cable rows, or some sort to strengthen the back.

thanks for your info. I have found the great article that is explaining what you have began in details. Here it is if anyone interested.

Rounded shouders are also caused by weak scapular stablizers and external rotators. the rhomboids are a major muscle group, but don't perform the function alone. You have to focus on teres minor and infraspinatus muscles (google them). If you have teh "Stronger Shoulders" DVD, it explains this, as well as demostrates proper exercises for each.

Absolutely agree!

Thanks a lot for very useful information. I have found one very nice and simple site that quiet good explains where these Infraspinatus & Teres Minor muscles actually are and how to exercise them. Take a look Back Exercise Menu

Do you think that I should do General Back as well? Back Exercise Menu
