Good for cardio....Run or Swimming

I asked my coach about this. he said that swimming is the best way to go. he said that more muscle are working while swimming. he also said that too much running can mess with my knees. I want to know what you peeps think.
 
well i would say for CARDIOvascular training, running gives your run more of an exercise. For losing some weight, swimming is defnitely the way to go. One time i went swimming and i lost 5 pounds in one swim!!
 
IMO swimming is better. As your coach said it takes away the stress you are putting onto your body when you run, and a constant swim is one hell of a boot in the ass.
