Good eats... at least, they once were.

still sick.

Okay, I cheated, I weighed before friday (I didn't weigh tuesday, but my TOM has been really light so far, so I did this morning), so I'm not going to update my ticker. I'm only down .1 pounds, but that brings me to 35 lbs loss all together!:Angel_anim:

After more than a year of diet/exercise...I have decided that a weight swing of 5 pounds is nothing... fractions of pounds are less than nothing.

My scale supposedly does the perentage of weight that is water/fat...but those numbers really don't correlate with my weight loss/gain.

I can hit a new low while my water weight percentage seems to be high...and hit an unexpected high with low numbers on the water weight percentage....

I have slowly learned to look at the long term numbers....and that is hard when you start your weight loss journey.

I'm feeling a little better, still a little clogged in the noggin and off balance, but I had class tonight with my dad (which means BURGER KINGGGG!!) and <I AM IN LOVE with their french fries.... seriously, I'm thinking of proposing marriage to them. But then I'd eat them. And then I'd be a husband (or wife, whatever the case may be...) -killer. :( That would make me sad, and I'd have to turn to be consoled by her sister, and then marry her.... It's a vicious cycle.> :reddevil:

Haha I'm going to have to officially weigh myself tomorrow morning, here's to hoping that I sustain my .1 lb loss. ;)

Vice presidential debate is on. Who's side are you on? Palin, the dumbass whore-faced butt wad, or Biden, the respectable one?

Ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculolus.

Blaaahhhhh...

I'm just happy to be @ 35 lbs loss. :D
I'll give it a week, and if I still haven't lost, I'll cut the calories to maybe 1300, and maybe work in some exercise.
:)

Yay!

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKK!!!
195.9!!
Surprise!! Wow!
That makes me happy!

So far haven't eaten (just got up haha)

Good day so far! IT'S FRIDAYYYYYY!!!

:)
<3 Annie

:D thanks! I'm going out for chinese tonight. It's a friday tradition to go out. :)
wow... 195.9 is a new low for me! I'm pretty sure I didn't even weigh that little in 8th grade. :)

Soooo, I'm pretty damned happy to hit that, makes me feel great! I was getting a little worried I had hit a plateau, but it's ALLLLLL good now. :)

:biggrinjester:

Still, I oughta get some treadmill time in. :nopity:

:)

C'est la vie.

Well, today was good, I need fiber and protein.... Is there any food that's both high protein and high fiber? besides bars of all types?

Okay, well, bed time....

:waving:

Is there any food that's both high protein and high fiber?

Spinach. One cup of cooked spinach has 5g protein and 3g fiber and only 40 calories.

Legumes give you less protein and fiber per calorie, but are still a good starting place. An ounce of dry lentils is enough for a cup of soup, and has 130 calories, 7g protein, and 6g fiber. Half a cup of canned refried beans has 120 calories, 7g protein, and 7g fiber. A cup of green peas is 110 calories, 8g protein, 6g fiber.

If you're looking for something supplement-like, I like the taste of Mission Carb Balance Whole Wheat Tortillas, even though they're made out of sawdust and guar gum. Eight grams of fiber per. Roll up some chicken breast or low-fat cheese in it to get the protein component.

GREAT tips, I'm going to have to remember those.

:iagree: Thanks Phoebe! I'll look into those. I'm going to try to override my dislike for beans, and I already don't mind spinach... How much raw would you have to eat to equal the amount of cooked?

Also, what's good in the world of fiber supplements? I've been using benefiber powder and hawaiian punch sugar free drink mix tubes, but I was wondering if there's anything anyone could recommed in the way of chewables or pills.

Soo.. I had an odd day. Ate out twice, red hot and blue chicken tender platter and an arby's melt with a small order of curly fries. Not so great nutrition wise. :willy_nilly:

But, I did the treadmill at 6.5% incline for 30 minutes and I walked around a good bit today with my parents at the outlet mall and in downtown leesburg.

:)

Yay!

dont expect results overnight-it took me almost 17 months to lose 112 pounds, and i feel that i could lose about 10-15 pounds.it is hard but you keep at it and you will eventually succeed.as far as advice-steer clear of excess cabrs and dont be afraid to do weight training-in fact more muscle=more calories burned=more food you can eat.focus more on cardio and drink plenty of water and take in calcium-helps convert fat to energy.

How much of my journal did you read?

Thanks for the advice, I've come to realize this over my journey. :)

I need to work on my water intake... And fiber and protein.

:)

Thanks for visiting!

Wellllllll... I'm kind of hitting a snag with the lower (1350) calories. We're going to the movies... and I need more calories. I just want to have some candy.

Maybe I'll pack myself some dried apricots! :D

And of course, the obligatory LARGE diet coke... :conehead:

:) yay!!

Worked it out on my own! :D

:hurray:

OH OH OH OHHHHHH! I TOTALLY forgot about this.

My mom got me some new shirts! They're all really really cute!

Tomorrow my mom's going to take me to get a couple new bras (mine are like, ratty.) and perhaps some more shirts!

YAY!! It feels so great to fit into an XL! All the clothes look pretty damn awesome on me :)

:D Makes me sooooo happy!!

:D We went to the movie (Get Smart... go see it, it's hilarious!) and I did it!!!
I stuck with the diet coke and a sandwich bag of 100 calories worth of dried apricots! YAYYYY!!!

Today I go out to walmart, the grocery store, and just around town with my mom. :D I don't know where we're eating... but I'll stay low cal until then so I can get something I like.

194.7!!!:sifone:

YAY!!

How much raw would you have to eat to equal the amount of cooked?

I usually steam up a 9-ounce bag at a time for me, which comes out to 60 calories, 5.6g fiber, 7.3g protein. But I like spinach. Frozen spinach is much, much, much more economical, but I find it tends to be stringier, and I don't like strings.

I get plenty of fiber from food (counting the sawdust-and-guar-gum tortillas, which I actually like, as food), so haven't tried any fiber supplements. I used to eat a lot of oatmeal with flax and pear, and that had a huge amount of fiber in it. 1-2 Tbl old-fashioned (5-minute) oats cooked in 1 cup protein-fortified 1% milk, the whole thing poured over 1-2 Tbl flaxseed meal, 1 fresh pear (chopped but not peeled), 1 tsp brown sugar, a dash of vanilla. Yum!

That sounds pretty good, actually. I just bought these fiber soft chews.... DID YOU KNOW THEY'RE 65 CALORIES EACH? They say to eat 4 a day... AND they only have 2g fiber! I'm like WTF? Those are definitely going back to walmart. I had a coupon and was in a rush, so I just picked them up without reading. But yeah, those are going back. :ack2:

:( So yeah. I think I'll stick with what I've got for now...

FAT FREE HOT DOGS ARE MY NEW BEST FRIEND!!
100 cal for 2!!!

:D

I tried taking benefiber for a time, but I didn't see any real benefit for the calories. A bowl of oatmeal, a bag of popcorn, an apple, a potato cooked in the skin...those all provide lots of fiber and taste good too. If I'm going to consume calories, I want flavor too.

Those fiber one bars and cereals are supposed to provide a healthy dose of fiber for the calories, but i'm not much of a cold cereal/granola bar kinda gal. You might be....

Hi Lilly.... :) Sorry, I wasn't gone on purpose or neglect this time. Just got out of the hospital yesterday, I was sick :( Much better now, or at least I'm getting there. I haven't gained or lost anything which is okay, I haven't been doing much in the hospital. Wow, you're at 194 now!!! Awesome!!! I'm so proud of you!! Keep up the good work! :yay:
