getting wider

As im getting older, my rugby is getting a lot more physical, and if i want to take the game further, i really got to broaden out. I do weights for my shoulders and arms, all over really.

What i want to ask is, Ive just turned 16, and im 5 foot 10. I am pretty thin, not redicously. Will i grow outwards much between now and my twenties, or has most of that been done?

I hope the answer is a simple yes, but i just wanted an opinion on it

thanks for the help

Yes, you will continue to wide out until you're about 18 but don't expect huge growth. Much of it will depend on your training so keep on going.

do you do deadlifts and squats? it could be handy as they promote overall growth... and dont be fooled to just do isolation work ;)

isolation work is when you isolate one muscle group to do all the work, single joint movements, like bicep gurls, triceps extentiones.
Compound movements will make you bigger, multiple joint movements, overhead pressed, rows, deadlifts, squats, bench and stuff like that ;)

ahh right, cheers for the help. Just one other thing, when i bench press, im not doing much as i only have a certain amount of weights at home, But when i do bench press, i never feel any sort of strain or tiredness in my pecs, why is this??

You need more weight, nig! To get "wider" you should be hitting those lat excercies, the best being chins and bent over rows. But the key to your athletic performance is in the execution of deadlifts and squats. I suggest you get into those hard.
