Getting to my ideal weight

Breakfast: 1 cup milk, oatmeal
Lunch: 2 wheat bread, red beans, cabbage, carrot and peas
Snacks: 1 orange, 1 glass milk, 3 bites of energy bar, yogurt
Dinner: 2 wheat bread, red beans, cabbage, carrot and peas, 2 spoons of rice

Exercise
40 min walk
light exercise for abs
arms and shoulder toing exercise with 1 kg weights

well, the thing is that I felt pain in my lower body today..maybe due to abs or weights..i dont know..its not great pain..but I dont want to take any chances. Doctor says 30 min walk, light exercise for abs, toning exercise without weights. I will have an appointment next week with doc..then will give a ok to use of weights.

Slowing exercise is becoming part of the routine. Earlier, I had to remind myself that I need to take time out..and it felt like a big task. Now whenever I have some spare time I do exercise or have a quick walk.

I really like doing the arm exercise. If I do them regularly I think I will see results.

Well today was a lazy sleepy day. It was raining and I had cold. So was feeling quite low. I was feeling like having nice hot comfy food..such as burger, french fries, cutlets etc..I tried hard to keep on track.

Breakfast: oatmeal
Lunch: 2 wheat bread, soyabean, cauliflower
Snacks: 2 cups milk, one orange, 400 ml of apple juice, 4 bites of energy bar
Dinner: 2 wheat bread, soyabean, cauliflower, cottage cheese

Exercise: light exercise including sholuder and arms
no walk

So I tried hard to keep the craving down..and the only thing I overdid was apple juice.

I must keep my self motivated..I cant give in to eat comfy food..I need to loose 10 kgs!!!!

I LOOVE arm exercises too! And you're right, if you keep doing them, you WILL notice a difference!! :) This monday was the first time EVER that I wore a tank top outside of my own home!! It felt good! I can totally relate to how you feel about not wanting to wear dresses and short sleeved shorts outside! But if you keep up with the arm exercises, you'll be like me, and notice a huge difference! This summer the two of us will be enjoying dresses, tank tops, and tshirts :D

How is your pain today!? It's sometimes hard to determine if the pain is something serious, or just working your muscles! I would take your doctors recommendations and just do some light exercises, and whenever you feel pain- you should stop! Hey, have you checked out certain exercises that might be better for you and where your pain is located?!

There might be some exercises out there that will help not cause pain :)

You seem like you're really trying to get exercises in there whenever you can! That's fantastic! You're really motivated! You should be very proud that you're working this hard- it takes a lot of dedication and motivation- and you've got it!! *hugs*

Dear Tik..Thanks for the encouraging post..pain is doing fine..will see doc on wed..hope she says ok to use of weights....I really started to enjoy the exercises...infact I found a new one today on youtube..the video claims that it tones your arms muscle like Madonna!!!...Great to know that you were awesome in your tank top..Pround of uuu:party:
I hope by summer I also am able to wear short sleved dresses!!!

Snacks: 1 orange, 100 ml apple juice, yogurt, 1 cup milk
Dinner: 2 wheat bread, chick peas, cottage cheese, fenugreek

One thing that I need to eliminate from diet is this juice. I should have fruits. Liquid calories are tasty but so harmful. The juice I bought is marketed as natural juice..a healthy drink with no additional stuff. I checked on the box..it says for 200 ml..120 kal........... 5 gm of natural sugar and 25 gm of added sugar!!

no walk..but went to few markets today so got to walk around a little bit

Today morning, I was not feeling too well..general cold, tiredness..I again wanted to run to comfy food..like fried stuff, potatoes etc...isnt it so easy to run to food when you are feeling low/bored. I then decided that I cannot spoil my journey to good health.

I must go for a walk tomm.
 
Hope you are feeling better tomorrow and can get your walk in. Also hoping the doc gives you clearance for weights again. I feel so much better after a session of weight training.

As for wearing short sleeves - I still don't wear tank tops 'in public' (Tik made me giggle at that) - only to the training studio where it is just me and the trainer. But I do wear short sleeve T-shirts and dresses all the time - I dress for comfort and don't really care what others think. I don't look like a slob....and really, how many people do you come across daily with arms like 'Madonna'?

Keep up the good work - and consistency is key.

sorry to hear you weren't feeling too well today! hopefully tomorrow is a better day...i know it can be hard when we're not feeling 100%, but good on you for having the determination to say, 'tomorrow I will walk'! That takes strength and drive!! You got this!!!!

Dear Tik..I was feeling better today..spent some time outdoors. Thanks for your comments..I feel even more motivated to look awesome by this summer.
Today in the market..I found the shop I want to buy clothes from. I took a look. I was not to confident to try some of them on. I will go buy these clothes when I reach 55 kg. Again and again I question myself what was I thinking when I was putting on all this weight...why couldn't I take care of myself then..but its ok...good I realise it now!!!!

I had to go out today, so didnt get time for exercise and walk. Will have to make up for it tomm. But I tried to stay away from unhealthy stuff when I went out.

Dear Tik..how are you?..have a great "off" day. I am thinking about taking to walking seriously. I want to build stamina and 30 min walk doesnt seem enough. I was trying to find devices/applications where I can track the number of kms I have walked. Are you aware of any?..I just know one for iphone..but I have a blackberry...

I don't know of any apps...hmmmm!! Although I do know of a web based program called "Track my run"... you can track your runs and walks in that program! It might actually have an app too!!

I think it's great that you're trying to build stamina! That's awesome! have you thought about running as well!? :)

Dear Tik..I checked the website..looks good..I will also see if I can get a tracker in Nike's showroom..no point buying iphone just for an application!
Yes..I have been thinking of running too..I had the doc appointment today..she says its ok!!

Again couldn't do much exercise. I met with the doc today and she clarified a lot of things I could do now (considering I was doing no exercise earlier.

I can use weights of 1 kg, go for a jog and then increase to a run!

I am all set for exercising more.

10 kgs seems too much of weight to loose. Why couldnt I be more careful when I was gaining all this weight. Anyways, I need to continue with eating healthy..I cant diet and starve..it makes me sick. So I need to cut oil, sugar and carbs..and go on exercising.
