Getting rid of belly fat

I read some of the material on hiit and have incorporated it into my routine in an attempt to lose some of my belly fat. I also do crunches and ab excercises as well. Will doing these ab excersises be detrimental to losing my stomach because im toning the muscles..or can i do both for succesful results
 
Ab exercises dont reveal your abs, losing body fat does. HIIT is a great way to burn fat, but dont overdo it on the ab exercises. 1 or 2 different exercises is plenty.
 
Yep. Listen to Tony, abs exercises aren't gonna get you anywhere. The best way to get rid of it is jogging/cycling. Don't just go for a 5 minute run everyday however; that wont do you any good either. The first bit of your run will bring your heart rate up to a level where you can begin burning it off. Hope that made sense.

The bright side is that those abs exercises are building your muscles behind the fat, so as you burn it off with cardio, your abs will show faster =).
 
i think basketball is better then running... and when i say basketball, not 8 vs 8 u get the ball for 2 seconds, im talking like 1 v 1 or 2-3 v 2-3 where you actually move and jump and your whole body.. that and its fun..

I play one on one basketball all the time with my twin brother and i love it! It resembles HIIT training with the sprinting and stopping and it also takes your mind off of cardio so you can do more.
