"off day"

1100am - breakfast
4 oz. strawberry light/fit yogurt
1 hard boiled egg white
1 L water

100pm - lunch
roasted chicken
broccoli/cauliflower
1 L water

400pm - snack
1 chicken strip
1/2 head of iceberg lettuce :D
2 glass water

700pm - dinner
oysters, crawfish and lobster :D
asparagus
2 glasses white wine
1 glass water

1100pm - bed
 
my green beans are frozen... i microwave em at work, and sprinkle pepper on em, and then eat em. BLAH. im sure if i sauteed them with mushrooms and butter, garlic and almonds, they'd be divine.. but at work, i just chomp em up like cardboard :puke:

well... then that would explain why they taste like ass!!!! haha. HATE frozen green beans... gotta eat em canned or not at all haha... too crunch frozen hehe....


Hey girl how do you get potassium besides bananas? Id rather naw my arm off then eat bananas hehehe.

dont worry about taking a small vaca from working out... i just took two days off too... know what? alot of times when i go back... expecting to have packed on some lbs... i LOST SOME!!!! :)

girl you get any knee or ankle pain for cardio???? i have that bad right now. If so how do you get through that? Its not unbareable... just enough to be annoying

20 mins ss treadmill 5.0mph :( struggling today
15 mins HIIT, treadmill 3.8-7.5mph
full body stretch

2 glasses water

you know, honestly... i had a lot of ankle pain when I would run every day last year. I told myself that I could only run on treadmills because running outside would hurt too much. But then I decided to buy new sneakers :D And I was much better... I dont know what kind of pain you have, but could it perhaps be your shoes? I bought the NB sneakers that were like $150, but they really are the best for me...

When I was involved in sports and stuff, I would get shin splints and some knee problems, but I think it was because of a lot of side to side movement and sprinting, I had to wrap my ankles and knees... maybe there are some strength training exercises that will help you? Sorry doll, wish I was more help :eek:
 
So an update to how I'm feeling lately... This past weekend, and into yesterday, I have been so physically drained. Most likely because I had the semi all-nighter on Thursday night, after a crazy work week.. and barely recovered. But yesterday at the gym, all I did was steadily run for 20 minutes or so, and by the time there was a minute left, I was ready to drop dead. So I pushed out 15 minutes of HIIT, but was gasping for air like a little puppy at one point. :confused: I guess I'm going to have good workout days, and bad ones, but geez. I felt like I ran a million miles. My cals were fine, too.. and today I'm a bit bloated.

BLAH. hopefully today at the gym, I'll be able to push all the water out of my body and find some sort of energy, then sleep nice and early tonight so tomorrow I will feel right again.

if you are still catching up from a late night, that could totally be it. But there are also just days when i am certainly not feeling the gym. Also, emotional stress and exhaustion may come into play as well! No worries though!, sounds like you really pushed through regardless or being tired. your body will thank you for that! Id do light cardio tonight and do your normal lifting and crunches.... and then get to bed early like you said! youll be better tomorrow! :)


thanks for the advice about the shoes... not sure what my deal is. I did buy nike shocks about 3 months ago... i do have caluses on my toes from them.... and i think they are comfy... but im not sure. Maybe i need to check out a different brand and see if that is better! Its all good.


looks like you are doing very well with your eating and what not. Keep up the good work girl!!! :)
 
Hi Josie! There is another member here who used to post regularly named Trops, who used to say that those work outs that you feel like crap and have to drag yourself through, are the ones that really show your determination and build character.

If you had just said the heck with it and blown it off, you'd probably be feeling guilty about it right?

Yeah they still kind of suck though...

Oh and Melissa, get fitted by a decent sport shop for running shoes, it really makes a difference.

Hey guys... yea... I pulled through the workouts, but I was SOOOOO tired, and I felt like I was dragging myself. I had NO energy. But last night I worked out and it was MUCH MUCH better, I felt very strong and very energetic. :D

circuit training, used a 45 lb barbell for rows and good mornings :D
25 mins HIIT, treadmill 3.8-8.0mph
full body stretch
1 L water

830pm - dinner
roasted chicken
green and wax beans
1 L water

1100pm - bed
 
So yesterday, I'm at the gym, working my butt off... I finish, go to the locker room, wash my hands... and have a sneeze attack. Probably sneezed 14 times in a row and then immediately felt congested. wtffffffff. allergies are supposed to be gone! :cuss:

So they BETTER be allergies, because the sneezing continued on all night and I got NO sleep last night. The sneezing has continued into today. And even if today is an off workout day, I had to cancel my night job because I feel like complete shizz. So lets hope these are just allergies, and after I sleep it off and go to bed real early - like 9pm early, tomorrow I will wake brand new. because the weather is sooo nice out lately and I will be damned if i come down with the darned swine flu or something!!!!!!!!!! (knock knock knock)

well. My one friend went through this.... at our gym you clean off the machines yourself... she was allergic to the spray and had to take sudaffed everytime she worked out because she would be sneezing and have a runny nose all night after that!!!!!:reddevil:

So i believe i had a 24 hour bug or something, because i went to bed early last night and still feel like crap today, but can at least breathe. i kind of feel like how i felt in the past when i was recovering from the flu or something. my body aches, my head is heavy, my eyes hurt... so i think im going to take it easy tonight and continue on with the gym tomorrow...

saturday i have a date!!! :eek: is that too soon - its been two weeks since me and the bf broke up... and im not really looking for anything, but i got asked out, so i decided to just say screw it - whats a little drink and apps gonna do, right? :blush5:

but anyway, i can work out in the morning and still go out sat eve.

sunday my friend is sponsoring an AIDS walk, so i decided to support her, and register - but i am way too impatient to walk, so Im going to run the 5k instead.

i figured i'll run the 5k on sunday, and once im done, i can go home and relax, and that will be my cardio for the day :)
