I am suddenly very available tomorrow evening, so my workout schedule has changed for the week...

Workout schedule for the week of 5/26:
mon - on day, cardio
tues - on day, circuit training, cardio
wed - on day, cardio

ran out of eggs.... need more protein

900am - breakfast
4 oz light/fit blueberry yogurt

1 slice wheat toast w/natty pb
handful blueberries

100pm - lunch
leftover steak
spinach
1 L water

300pm - snack
sunflower seeds
string cheese
1 bottle water

600pm - 730, workout
5 min warm up
circuit weight training
15 mins ss cardio 5.0 mph
10 mins HIIT 3.8-8.0 mph
full body stretch
1 L water

830pm - dinner
turkey on wheat bread
mayo
cup of green beans
1 L water

1100 - bed

I was a BITCCCH with a capital B all weekend.... got my you know what... was MISERABLE. poor boyfriend... good thing he is a doll and puts up with me hehehe :)

emotionally, it truly depends on how much sleep I've had. how weird is that? Yesterday I was exhausted and i was miserable all day, totally sad about the bf, overwhelmed with work, just a mess.... but i went to bed nice and early last night and am feeling much better today. the ex bf sent me flowers, and i didnt respond or call... and his friend called me to see how i was doing... i was able to handle all of that, if this happened yesterday, i would be bawling my bloody eyes out. :(

on a happier note, dirty martini's are gross, but i love them :D im obsessed with olives though, so you probably wont like them. i DID find a super fruitier girly drink that everyone knew about but me - malibu bay breeze, super sugary but oh so good. definitely helped me feel like i was on a mini vacation over the weekend. i think martinis are "better" for me, since they have less sugar, but alcohol is alcohol i s'pose! :)
 
Ok i need to babble a little bit about my hunger. i am STARVING all the time... and I truly cant figure out if its because Im not eating enough in relation to how much I work out, OR if my metabolism is kicking in, or if its all of the above and now im just a hungry monkey :piggy:

but for someone who used to go all day without eating, and eat a couple crackers and soup for dinner, my "new" eating is definitely working up an appetite. I eat every two hours and CANT WAIT to eat. im hungry ALLLLL the time, and Im peeing AAAAAAAAAAALLLLLL the time. its annoying the hell out of me. I feel like all i do is eat!!!! oh... and im already tired of green beans :p

ok sooooo... on my shopping list is a good multi-vit. I started getting headaches this past weekend, and im sure part of it was from the alcohol, but the rest i feel like had to do with too much water and flushing out all the nutrients. I really need suggestions on what multi-vit to take, because those suckers are mucho $$.. AND i want to take the one where its one a day, rather than the ones i have to take in the a.m and again in the p.m.

also, anyone know what i can take instead of L-glutamine for leg cramps?
 
Make sure youar getting enough elecrolytes. I've gotten headaches after long cardio sessions when I've sweated a lot. Leg cramps and such can also be related back, particularly with potassium.
 
Hello Josie, I am not really sure about this but doesn't that have to do with Zinc, Iron and Calcium? Leg Pains...

Really? I didn't think Multi-Vitamins were all too expensive...what about buying them at a Costco instead? If one is near you, or somewhere in Bulk?

I am Canadian, so I didn't celebrate Memorial Day. We Celebrate a similar day, November 11, Remembrance Day. It is honoring the men and women whom have fought in the past & present. It also was a signed treaty I believe after WWII On the 11th Month, of the 11th Day, of the 11th hour. I cannot remember exactly as to what what the treaty was signed for. Probably about the end of the War. :S AND we wear our Poppies.

I had to laugh at the "bleargh" about the green beans. I love green beans, but only when they're sauteed in butter and garlic. Heh. Not so healthy really. But utterly delicious.

I'm wondering if you're just not getting enough food to support your workout schedule at this point. Like you said, maybe your metabolism is kicking back in and your body is starting to adjust again.

I just did a rough add in my head of what you ate yesterday and it looks like less than 1200 calories. (I could be off - since I don't know measurements of what you ate, but I don't think I'm off by more than 300 calories either way.) I think for the amount of exercise you're doing, you should be eating a lot more.

For the vitamin, I take Whole Foods Women's Food Based Multivitamins. They're horse pills and I take 2 every morning. They also turn my pee a lovely bright orange! :D But I do feel better when I take them. I can tell when I forget.

ok peeps, in a HUGE rush, just wanted to do a quick update... i will respond to posts asap, i promise

yesterday at work was insane... INSANE!! was at work at 730am, worked my bum off til 800pm, then had a thing at 9, didnt get home til 10pm... THEN my newly ex bf decided he wanted to talk.. :( he ended up coming over and we were talking til 3 in the morning. then we both fell asleep and he left this morning... we are so in loooooooove w/each other, but we def cant be together right now, which is the worst.

but moving on, so TODAY i "skipped" work, and did all my car stuff, registration, inspection, new tires, blah blah... ive been on the road since 10am and its 5pm and i just got home, i have been eating mcdonald's salads all day today, with grilled chicken and nuggets here and there.

to top it all off, i had NO time for the gym yesterday, and on 3 hours of sleep today, so i def have no gym time today. which PISSES me off, because that just created 2 off days this week!!!! :banghead:

unbelievable. but again, gotta hop in the shower and running out the door yet again, but tomorrow i will respond to all of u after i return from the gym :beating:

madness i tell ya....

i really know nothing about multi-vitamins, i used to buy the food based ones, or the slow release ones, but i never quite felt a difference... so im really hoping to invest in a good kind... i should really go to the store today and shop for some

definitely... i have been eating roughly 1100-1400 cals for the first month, spaced out over 5-7 "meals" daily, in an effort to jump start my metabolism back up.. and now that i feel like its working, i think i can increase my cals to hopefully hit 1600 for the next month. the, increase it more and more. im not "counting" cals, although i have a good idea of moderate food portions. in all actuality, with my weekend drinks and my salt intake for the past three weeks, i probably have went over the daily cals many times already. its crazy, too.. because i feel like im eating ALL the time. all i do is eat!!!

so hopefully i'll be able to see more results with this tweak. starting monday i'll be eating the same foods, but maybe larger portions.. lets see if my hunger gets under control!

i definitely FEEL different, i wake up in the morning and i have NO stomach bloat, feels totally flat. Then i eat and by the end of the day, i feel bigger again... but we'll see. its only been month 1. maybe i'll try taking pics in the next week or two and see if all this progress is in my head or not. :eek:

my green beans are frozen... i microwave em at work, and sprinkle pepper on em, and then eat em. BLAH. im sure if i sauteed them with mushrooms and butter, garlic and almonds, they'd be divine.. but at work, i just chomp em up like cardboard :puke:
