I am Ani g.
This is me.....
I have an 8 year old daughter and was fit as all buggery thru pregnancy to birth....then i had the normal baby fat to lose of which i accomplished quite well with good food choices and wieght training and swimming 5 days per week...i continued this good stream until my gal was about 5. I was then told i had level 4 melanoma (in my lymph system) and went thru horrid chemo for a year at which time i became anorexic thanks to the drugs and the lack of taste in any food i consumed...causing me to eat not much at all really. I came thru that and the chemo didnt work and since then have had a series of operations to remove tumours here there and everywhere...luckily, this bastard of a thing has not hit any of my vitals as it is want to do!..i am blessed there!
Two years of ops set me on a downward spiral health wise...i have always remained positive right thru, but i started drinking copious amounts of red wine....i was always a big drinker but my body could 'handle' it...this time its different. I have put on 15kgs in the last year and a half and knew that i was becoming a PORKER but only when i took my gal to the pool the other day and saw my reflection in the glass did it really hit me how much weight i had actually gained! (I dont have a full lenght mirror in my house and only knew i was putting on some CHUB when i tried to impossibly get into my favorite jeans!).
I am 5 days off the red wine, i have been 5 days perusing this forum, I am feeling sooo much better in myself, I am eating healthily and juicing and drinking water and green teas, and I am sooo glad I came across YOU GUYS.
Thankyou for providing this support network. I am such a STUBBORN BUGGAR when it comes to asking for support but having the use of this forum is great and when im not doing housework or walking i am using calories up just by reading all your furum stuff!..I am up to page 5 and it is interesting, amusing, saddening, inspiring and, uplifting to know that there are tryers out there like me that all need a little help sumtimes.
