General hysterical diet-related rambling: From Flab to fab; Part two.

Trusylver- I am glad to hear it’s got easier for you ? What are their ages now? I think you deserve an actual medal, or an award of some kind for coping with three ASD kiddies! Personally, I think I would drop down dead with exhaustion!

Yesterday
This morning I woke up and went to a meeting straight away, before breakfast. Then I decided to walk the 1.5 miles back, which left me feeling quite virtuous (Have blisters tho!). I had a slice of marmalade on toast, with a huge fruit salad for breakfast. An unspecified amount of crusty bread. And plaice with garlic, ginger and pak choi and rice for dinner. Have just eaten another huge bowl of fruit salad. So other than the unspecified amount of bread, it was quite good.

today
Tiny bowl of fruit and fibre
Avocado and prawn pasta salad
Probably some butternut squash soup
Massive tropical fruit salad.
Lots of tea. I aim to cut down over the next month, and I will DEFINITELY have given up tea in three weeks time.

Today and yesterday look good, and great choice doing the walking ! :D

my three are 17(almost 18), 15 and the youngest just turned 14, my eldest is only ASD the other 2 are ASD and ADHD, things got easier last year when my youngest was able to finally cope with full days at school in the special education unit at the high school.

That dark choc fudge cake you described sounds only to die for. YUM.

Ooohhhh la la la decorating.. sounds fun and exciting:) Hope it turns out brill hun, and what a lovely distraction from food hun;)

sending positive vibes xxxxxxx

Trusylver- It must have been hard when your youngest couldn't cope with a full day at school for so long. Charlie could only go to school in the morning when he first started at a mainstream, and it was a pain in the bum. It makes it harder to work, how can you work if you need to be with a child who demands so much attention.

Princess Eeek, sorry, that wasn't the plan. I will send before and after pics of my dining room, at least the appearance of something is making progress lol... Decorating the kitchen and dining room does mean that I am by the fridge all the time, but luckily it only contains healthy thingies :)

Hana Sorrysorrysorry! It is actually gross lol.

I did treat myself today. Well, I shouldn't say that, I should replace the word treat, with setback/destroy/deprive, as a treat is never a treat. My body needs no treats. It has had enough treats, thats why I'm in this mess! But it was only little, and all I had for dinner was a 240 calorie vegetable fresh soup. I got a carrot cake and cappuchino from starbucks, I did leave a little bit though.

Huge fruit salad
Wholegrain chicken sandwich
Carrot cake and cappuchino
Vegetable soup
More fruit salad.

I have decided to start making jellies. I am going to get cute individual retro jelly moulds, and fill them up with fruit. I also might make rainbow layered jellies, if I have enough patience. Jelly is good. Why have I never thought of eating it before?

My skin is looking a bit better today. Hopefully soon it will be glowing with vitiman-y goodness. Have decided to not get weight loss tablets from the doctor for that reason alone. It just seems a bit silly to stop vitimans being absorbed for only one or two extra pounds a month.

I did have 15 minutes of feeling like poo this morning, but then I felt great after. Can't wait till I wake up fresh every single day.

Less hungry, but I am still having cravings a-plenty.

I had a stupid o'clock bacon and egg sandwich last night. Decided sugar is to blame for my cravings, so today is the day I am giving up sugary tea for GOOD. Nick said to me that if I am going to do it eventually, I may as well just do it now to get it over and done with. He is right. So I feel foggy and hungover today, absolutely awful... But then people get ill and feel awful, for no benefit, at least I have got some benefit, because I will be saying adios to 500ish extra calories a day, minimum. I keep on moaning about my tea addiction, its time to STOP. I have to remember that I'm the one in control.

Good riddance to you, sugar monster!

hey good for you
you can do this. You know how to do it and if its better to cut it out altogether or have a maximum numbers of tea each day you are in control of your sugar intake!!!in a normal tea cup how many sugars do you have in teaspoons?

About 12 teaspoons :( 10-15 cups a day.... I got through a big pack of sugar in two days.

I have got an awful headache.

I don't feel like doing anything, even coming on here. The sugar monster has consumed me, I am so irratable. I have turned INTO the sugar monster! Only 1150 calories today though, that is around what I have been having, but the tea bumps up my calories every day.

I think it would be so easy just to give in and have a cup and get rid of this stupid vice like headache, but I have to do it, or I will fail. When my blood sugar comes crashing down after a sugary tea, I have cravings for pizza, and all kinds of baddies to keep my blood sugar high again.

Good for you for getting back on track! It looks like our starting weight and ending goals are very similar :D

Warning though! Do not try Xenical. I tried it when I was younger and it was horrible! Completely fucked my stomach up. I couldn't stay on it for more than a week and my month's perscription was bloody expensive. Totally not worth it.

Just keep committed to your healthy eating and exercise and you will get there. Best of luck

i had no idea that sugar or rather No sugar suddenly can give you withdrawal symptoms.that is scary....o Ruth you really do have loads of it..please please try to quit..please!You already know the damage you are feeling what that stuff is doing to you.
im sure you have tried im just asking maybe can you suck on some hard candy instead like have 5 per day?or try to figure some kind of way through this?im trying to imagine 12 teaspoons in a ta cup im probably not getting this wright it cant actually fit.Besides the calories that you are getting extra sugar does all these awful things to our bodies-and i know you know that you are so so so so young. You WILL have a Health problem when you get a bit older and believe me it is AWFUL .My ex brother in-law had high sugar in his blood (don't know the name of this properly) and he had to get these injections every day insulin and he still didn't take care and his foot was nearly amputated .
There must be some kind of solution if you feel you cant manage cutting sugar completely
Stay strong IT WILL PASS maybe now it seems like shit but it will pass and you will feel so much better.Take it day by day and craving by craving.
Sending you lots of love and positive vibes!!!:grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

Have you tried slowly cutting down the number of teaspoons you put in each cup ?

Ruth I feel your pain! I've a huge addiction to chocolate! I just think it is heaven and there is nothing in the world like it! I think if we gradually wean ourselves off our addictions we should be fine! We need to learn everything in moderation :D

Hiya guys, sorry I haven't posted for a couple of days, Im feeling quite down at the moment for various reasons.

I am eating barely anything tho, which is good :) My appetite has gone down by so much. One and a half bits of toast just filled me up!

I got my first healthy shop on the forth, so in just two weeks I have *apparently* lost 13 pounds. Have lost one inch off everywhere as well :)

I'm thinking about doing slim fast, or a liquid diet of some sort, as soon as I get the money to buy it. Its good to see the rabbit on my ticker jumping along! Hopefully by the 7th when I'm going to be doing my next progress video, I can be in One-derland :)

I AM waiting for your video!!!i just love to actually SEE you!You knowlike YOU that i kind of know all this time struggling all together to get the weight off!you really give me some courage to continue!
If you do a liquid diet dont you feel VERY hungry?never done one.are they safe?

Jess I do feel a lot better today. I have been moping about and sitting in my bedroom :) Like a grumpy teenager, but I have left the depths of my bed at last, and I am going to continue with the decorating tomorrow. Our health service says that it is okay to go on a liquid diet for a maximum of 16 weeks, if you are obese... Thats what gastric bands do really. I am pretend gastric-banding myself. Can't afford the diet shakes right now, but I will be getting them next week. I have never ever tried meal replacements before, ever. So I will see how it goes! I do know that after three days of not eating your not hungry any more, so I suppose I will adjust to it. Think I will do it for a month.

Thanks Sunflower

MrVee I will, I intend to be the duracell bunny, and keep going and going and going,, like in this ad :)

When my fitness has built up a bit and I am no longer a puffing wreck, I am going to go for jogs.
