General Excercise

I weigh on average just over 11stone, I am currently 19 years of age, just under 6ft. My arm muscles are quite toned and I have lost a considerable ammount of weight since high school.

I do not tend to do any excercise and I know one day, it will catch up on me. I work 5 days a week in an office, 9-5 and I do have the spare time to workout. I am quite slim however the main thing I would like is to be a bit more toned, i.e just a few abs would be nice.

I am prepared to do what it takes, I do have quite a mixed diet, I do eat a fare portion of fruit and veg although snacks do come into the equation aswell.

I would like a more toned body by say Christmas? I will start working out once I know what to do? I dont have a sodden a clue and advice would be great.
 
First thing i suggest is get your eating on point. Thats it the biggest factor in any fitness program. I eat 6 meals a day consisting of three meals and three snacks in between. You want to eat as clean as possible. Snacks should be clean too. Example: veggies, nuts and fruits to name a few.

As far as putting on muscle, weight training is where the majority of growth is going to come from. Depending on your style of training you can exercise 3 times a week combining muscle groups. On the other hand you could train 5 days a week working one muscle group a day. These are just 2 of the many different kinds of style out there. It all comes down to how your body reacts to what you are doing.

Cardiovascular training is just as important but don't get caught up in the hype that the more cardio you do the more weight loss you will see.

abs are made in the kitchen! You can do a million crunches and still will not see anything if your eating is not in line.
