Gastric Balloon and cardio problems?

Hello, I have always had problems with my weight. I cannot excercise because of my heart... so my choices are limited.

My question is - can I go throught this operation with cardiovascular problems? Are they a major contradiction?

You can lose weight without exercise. IN fact, exercise is pretty much just a side-note to weight loss. You can exercise until you fall over and still not lose weight if you're eating too much.

The only way to lose weight is to control what you eat. You've posted a couple of threads now about surgery and pills, but not once have you said anything about controlling your food. The one post of yours that I've read about food has incorrect information in it.

That says to me that you really aren't controlling your eating. My suggestion is this: figure out how many calories you need to be eating by reading this thread: http://weight-loss.fitness.com/nutrition/40273-how-many-calories-should-i-eat.html

Then register for a free account on FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal or Calorie Counter, Diet Tracking, Food Journal, Nutrition Facts at The Daily Plate and start to log your food. This will let you see how many calories you're eating and how your nutrition levels are breaking down. Once you know that, you'll be able to see more clearly where you can make adjustments, cut back, change your nutrition, etc.

Then I would talk to your doctor about the types of exercise you can do - surely you can walk at the very least. Doing moderate walking that doesn't strain your heart might be a good option.
