gaining weight, fat or what?

well i finished dieting, but im 16, so im still bound to grow. the question is, how do i know im growing muscle and bones and stuff, and not fat? checking how much you can lift etc proves ur gaining muscle, but that could mean your gaining both fat AND muscle. so how do i tell?
 
3 tools of the trade i use are a scale, a cloth tape measure and a pair of skinfold calipers.

i step on the scale once a week and check my measurements and bodyfat % once a month.
