By the way, your BMI is actually quite normal, if not low. And I know we all set different parameters for how we want to look, etc. but I was wondering if you might enlighten me as to what your eating/fitness regime is? Trying to steal new ideas
Also, we need to set the parameters for this no sugar thing- does this mean no artificial sugars also [i.e. diet sodas, anything with sweetener]?
Becca- I never use artificial sweeteners. Nutrasweet gives me headaches, while others make me take frequent trips to ladies room...and really they aren't very healthy. I try to eat as few processed foods as possible. But I also think they trigger cravings....so no fake stuff!

As for soda, I never drink it. I do love Poland Spring carbonated water!
My BMI is very normal. I do, however have a small frame, and know that the extra pounds I am carrying are from junk food. It also doesn't help that the weight is not distributed evenly. I mean hey, if it increased my bra size, that'd be OK, but the pounds are in my mid-section. You know, that horrid midlife spread thing.

It's also pride- I like to be the best that I can be. When I didn't eat sugar, dairy or refined carbs (no ice cream, no pizza, nothin'!), I was 137 pounds for ten or more years without even trying. I had more energy. I wasn't obsessing on eating or not eating junk.
Here is my current regime:
I calculated my calorie needs here:
I aim to have at least 25 grams a day of fiber (not from a caplet or drink mix) and less than 25 percent of my calories from fat.
No dairy or wheat (IBS diagnosed twice) or sugar, of course. I drink unsweetened soy or rice milks. I eat Ener-G bread (.
I am doing arm curls & exercises ten minutes a day. I am walking at least five miles a week or more, weather and time permitting. Sometimes leg lifts and sit-ups, but I want to start doing them daily.
Basically this is all stuff I did as part of my lifestyle, so I'm looking at it that way instead of a diet.
