I found doing regular sit-ups using on an ab roller was best, they really burn the muscle! You don't need to do loads just what you a comfy with, a tip I found was stretch back to release lactic acid after.
Diet is the most important part of gaining six pack abs, you my develop big strong ab muscles but won't be able to see them because of stomach fat, this is usually the case with a lot of people.
