Hi! I'm gem, 24 from Manila Phillipines...height in 5'2:, 160 pounds

I do a lot of research for losing weight because Im having a hard time doing it my self.

Honestly, I don't have discipline on my diet that is why I (they) can't see any results of my dieting.

Im working as An English Online Teacher...so I do sitting infront of the computer most of the time.

Is anyone who can help me or tell me what should I do??? I don't like being "Overweight".

I can't wear some clothes that I want.. I feel really disgusting and frustrated because of my body.

It can cause to my self losing self confidence :(((((

Hi Gem,

I know what its like to feel frustrated. Don't get so down on yourself. Not everyone's weight loss journey is the same, but making an effort will always be better than giving up--no matter how slow the results come. If you're stuck at a desk most of the day, there are some minor changes you can make right away that can help you out. For example, try changing your desk chair for an exercise ball. This will force you to hold your balance and even improve your posture. You won't get ripped abs just from sitting there, but it should strengthen your core a bit. Another thing you should do is change your snack foods. Personally, I had to give my kitchen a complete clean out---if the cookies, chips, and pizza are sitting there, then I would definitely eat it. After getting rid of the junk, I filled my fridge with fresh fruit and vegetables, and for chocolate cravings I love Fiber One bars---but I limit myself to one per day. Every night I would put pre-portioned servings in ziploc bags and tupperware so it was easy to grab and didn't interrupt my work. Try taking a break every now and then to stretch and do some walking. Of course, exercise is important too. Try to do at least a "40-30-20-10" (ex: 40 jumping jacks, 30 sit-ups, 20 lunges, 10 push-ups) every day, starting out, but eventually you need to challange yourself...if losing weight were easy, everyone would be skinny. If you have a dog, take him/her for a walk. Ride your bike to the grocery store instead of getting in your car. Go dancing!

Like I said, don't get down on yourself if it comes slowly. Stick with it! In a month, you could be looking back at all the weight you lost and how good you feel, or you could look back and think how much you wish you had just stuck with it and how much further along you would be if you had.

You can do it!! Good luck :)
