From Regression to Progression

Nearly a year ago, I came to this website/forum and expressed myself in terms of weight loss and fitness. (Here is a link to my old Diary: http://weight-loss.fitness.com/thre...-The-Journey-to-Losing-Weight-and-Loving-Life!) I only lasted about three months, but I had nearly seen 40Lbs of weight loss. My intention was not to lose weight as quickly as possible, but that is how things went, I was very happy. Towards the end of the third month, I started to go back to old habits which lead to the eventual regression that has now become my everyday life. I am at the exact same place as I nearly was a year ago, I weight the same and feel the same. In terms of weight loss, this has been a roller coaster and I plan on stopping the ride from right now.

Throughout my three month losing stint, I had periodically made reachable goals and truly enjoyed the process. The past couple weeks, I have said, "O, I'm going to start when the next week begins." But to be honest, this is craziness, although it may not be the best idea to start this process in the middle of the week, I can't take this anymore. Just like I did before, I will create goals and update them as I see fit. This is much shorter than my first introduction, but let's keep it short and sweet and start the hard work. Here are the goals I have for now:

I have a short-term, mid-term, and long-term goals setup for now.

Short-term:

-No out-side/fast food or soda for the first month (5/12/2013)

-No eating past 7 P.M.

-Lose 10Lbs. by 5/12/2013 Target weight = 180Lbs.

-Exercise twice a week for the first month

Mid-term: -Lose 25Lbs by 6/9/2013 Target weight = 165Lbs.

Long-term: -Lose 50Lbs. by 12/31/2013 Target Weight = 140Lbs.

*I feel that these goals are very obtainable, they are not over done and in fact they may be too small. If I see that I can push myself harder, then I will update these goals. Throughout this journey, I will also add personal goals.

Wish me all the luck in the world,

The cravings are very strong but I am trying my best. I'm about to go run for the first time in a long time. I'm not going to run for a very long distance, or at a fast pace, but I would like to get a little sweat going.

Wish me luck,

Thanks Cory! Hoping to do my best this time.

Today has been the hardest day. There was an increase in cravings and moreover, I've been working since 9am and I don't get off till 9pm. So, the "O, you worked hard today!" excuse may appear later tonight, but Im gonna over come it. Even though it has not been as easy as it was last year, I am happy that I am restricting and getting closer to my goals.

So far, I am on track with my short term goals, I'm going to check my weight tonight and even if there is no change on the scale, I can feel the change inside. The weight will come down with time.'

Wish me luck,
