I can't help but comment on this. I see your point, acknowledge it, and agree somewhat. I also want to state that knowledge is power; public schools seem to withhold information, and I'm not certain if it's an accident or an agenda (I suspect the latter)--but if students learned early about the world's cultural richness, their minds would be so opened that they might start converting, denouncing, or annihilizing. And their parents wouldn't like that. You can disagree with me all you want, but while I personally like the idea, I've constantly dealt with New Age ideas begin stomped out with Old Traditional Customs and it ain't pretty. Nor is it pretty when you get into "preserving" customs and the idea of authenticity......uh oh. Forgeddabout it, nevermind.
I completely agree with you, Curvie Girlie. Its a slippery slope one way or the other.
Thanks for letting me hijacking your thread, Tyly.
I know what you mean about gaining a couple pounds and it feeling like so much more, LOL. Funny how that is. When you lose it it feels like a drop in the bucket. When you gain it it feels like the weigh of the world.
I forgot to weigh myself this a.m. but I think I'm at 145 or 146
And why is it so easy to gain 5 lbs, yet so difficult to lose them???
