From 70kg/11stone/161lbs to 60kg/9½stone/132lbs! (And ongoing!) (126lbs goal weight!)

Hello!

Well, first off, my name's Sarah! I'm a 28 year old female, 5'8½ (174cm) and originally weighed in at 73kg. My motivation for losing my weight is that my brother is getting married in July to his fiancee of 7 years - and her ENTIRE family are all health freaks! All slim and sporty.. you know the annoying types! In addition, we're all flying out to Cyprus for a week for the wedding itself - so basically, LOTS of sunshine and beach .. which means bikini and small-clothes weather! Argh! So, I decide to drop weight so that I didn't feel like i was 'letting my side down'... Obviously, I'm also doing this for myself too, but that was the main reason I kickstarted myself forward!


Startweight: 73kg
End: 58-59kg

Next goal - Toning!

First of all: wow, congrats on your success, you look great! :hurray:


Whatever the reason for you kickstarting yourself, it’s the result that counts.


I soooo agree with you that the diet is at least as important if not more so. I lost the majority of my weight with changing my diet and just started walking (which doesn’t really burn a bunch of calories or fat), no tough fitness routines or anything, as I had health problems at the time and wasn’t able to exercise properly. And I also agree that those weeks, when nothing seems to be moving can be demotivating, but if you persist, the results will come.


I now have a bunch of clothes that don’t fit me anymore as well, good feeling isn’t? :)

Really appreciate them and it really pumps the motivation to keep going, so thanks for your time! :) And yes, it's great having those moments of realisations where old clothes that were previously a bit snug are now literally so loose that you can't wear them unless you want to lose them in public! Looking forward to hitting my goal, because I fully intend to buy a brand new wardrobe! :hurray:

Only 5 weeks left! Eek!


Edit: 2 weeks!?!?! ARGH! Gotta drop 3.5lbs to hit my 'end' goal of 57kg and hit my 'main' goal, too.. for normal people, this would be doable, LOL, but with my body I'm not holding my breath!

We shall see!
 
Well, sort've made it. Happy with my progress!
As far as weight loss goes, I think I'm finished!

Working on toning up next.. I can see my stomach muscles, but only if I really tense or if the light falls in the right way. I would LOVE to have a properly toned tummy! Sooo.. will be back here again once I have proper abs!
