From 250lbs to 180lbs in a few months

I've only just joined this forum but feel I should show my before and after pictures.

I put on a huge amount of weight from the age of 11, and was overweight for the majority of my life (I'm now 22). Going through my teenage years overweight was hell, especially at school.

In September 2009, I completely changed my lifestyle. I completely changed my diet, lifted weights every day and did a huge amount of cardio (mostly running).

Although 180lbs may be considered overweight, I put on a huge amount of muscle during my training and went from benching 50kg to 100kg within 2 months of training. I'd also say I'm naturally quite stocky (broad shoulders, etc.)

Before:

In-between:

December 2009

After:

February 2010

My diet mostly consisted of:

Breakfast: Shredded Wheat
Lunch: Tin of tuna & fruit
Dinner: Chicken or fish and vegetables
Before bed: Cottage cheese

I drank huge amounts of water and completely stopped drinking things with sugar in. Green tea was also really awesome after a workout.

I don't think I'd have achieved my weightloss without the help of a friend, who is really into his weightlifting. Although I did cardio alone (I hate doing cardio with other people!), he really helped me with my weightlifting.

I'm not very tall, only 5'9".

Diet:

Also, I didn't drink any thing other than green tea and water.
 
Wow, very strict. Did you have any loose skin or anything since you lost the weight so fast? or did lifting help keep it away? Im the same height as you, and around the same weight as when you started.
 
I'm about 245lbs now and 6'1" tall and I have a large belly and I'm looking to drop to about 180-190 like you did, what I'm worried about the most is loose skin afterwards, if you don't mind me asking, after losing that much weight did you have any problems with this?

I'm considering dropping to only 200-210 instead of down into my healthy range of 170-190 just because I'm so worried about this issue, any feedback would be great, you can PM me if you prefer, thanks.
 
Yeah, the diet was very strict, but it was so worth it.

As for loose skin, I haven't had any problems with that. I'm not sure if weight lifting helped with that, but doing resistance training and cardio is the best way to lose fat. Get yourself a friend to do weights with you, you can really encourage each other and push yourselves to your limits.

Curious as your title says you lost 70lbs in a few months. Just wondering if you recall exactly how many months it actually was.

Also how many days did you work out and for how long?
