Sport FRIDAY's CHALLENGE - (7/31)

We are going with a push pull split for the day.

So- Friday's challenge is - 100 Pull up / or chin ups AND 100 pushups. Done in a split.

The challenge is defined as- challenging YOU to do more than you would without the challenge. lol

really now, this is no big deal. you take today to post on this thread what quantity YOU WILL DO TOMORROW. We all talk trash, have fun, and then tomorrow- or Friday, we do the work.

So- Friday's challenge is - 100 Pull up / or chin ups AND 100 pushups. Done in a split. So- you get on the bar- do pull ups (say 10) then you drop to the florr and do the equal number of pushups- right then. You have the entire 24 hours of the day to do it.

Post your progress and all that, and let's play, tease, enjoy one anopther.

That is the challenge, but again- this is abotu having fun and doing mor than you would have. SO- if you do modified, assisted, a fewer amount, it makes no difference.

I want to participate, but I can't beat up my core like that! Not yet :(

throw me some lunges....or something like that.....I can do squats now, maybe I'll do the squats now, while you guys do the pull up/ push ups.....

well shoot!

as I was trying to check in, I realized I will be traveling all day tomorrow to Calgary.

SO- I will knock this challenge out today. Here we go.
 
is there a bar accrossed the stalls in the bathroom? when you open the stall door, some of them have a bar accrossed there. :) relentless aren;t I.

I am 40 in, and the pushup number should probably be doubled to the pulls.

Dang I feel heavy.

here is my pullup bar-- it is a piece of pipe with a dog cable going thru it and connected to a branch in the tree in my back yard.

It swings when you jump up, and the branch gives a bit as you do the pullups-- great fun.

was able to do them 5 at a time all the way through. The pull ups got easier toward teh end. Maybe "greasing the groove" is a real concept after all.

Just found this thread............I am in today for the push ups at least. My pull ups seriously suck and I'm not sure I can find a place to do them either (at work until tomorrow morning) but I'll try.
 
Friday's challenge 7/31

ok I'm trying this one too!....20 push-ups so far; but not girlie ones, (i'll save them as a last resort, LOL....pull-ups , not so sure, I'll try to find someplace to do at least one....have to go to Toronto today, so will work on he challenge before & after that !!
 
Nice challenge.

I have a similar workout.

50 pull ups
50 push ups
rest 2:30 mins
40 pull ups
40 push ups
rest 2mins
30 pull ups
30 push ups
rest 1:30 mins
20 pull ups
20 push ups
rest 1 min
10 pull ups
10 push ups

It gets very tough towards the end, you biceps and lats will also be on fire the next day.

And before anyone asks no I cant do the 50 off the bat. My PB non stop pull ups is 40.

Look forward to hearing how you all get on on the 100 challenge and if you are up to it next week do the above.
 
Challenge

Holly Cow I never read so many excuses. Blah Blah Blah the dog ate my pullup bar. I just had my nails done. Pullups are too hard for me to even attempt.

Give me a break!! Shut up and sweat I've been camping on the beach in SoCal for three days so that's my excuse. I'm ready and will complete this in 30 mins at the gym. Plus another 130 pushups for the 100 pushup training routine.

Where is Blackbeard? If this challenge is too easy we should make standard levels for exceptional performance achievements. One handed pushups or handstand pushups are the gold level along with 30 or better consecutive pullups. That kinda thing. This is the kind of challenge all levels of members should be motivated to try. Time to brag. Lets hear about the ridiculous numbers. Pullups with 50 lb weights. Pushups with your kids on your back. How about those complete failure I can't do sh-- responses.

Lets hear from the Newbies and the wineers. I want to hear how hard or easy this was. Complete it or not just get with the thing and compete. Come on Neon kick Butt. Tell the Dr's to take a hike this is the Friday Challenge and I'm goin' for it.

All kidding aside be careful and if you can't participate just trash talk me or somebody else. Bring it on I'll accept all trash.:beerchug:

ok up to 60 push-ups 0 pull ups....and I did just have my nails done LOL... will find somewhere to try a pull up by the end of today!!!
 
And I bet you looked marvelous doing them.:rofl: I'm off to the gym. Pullups are too hard wa wa wa. Lets just stay home and read a book.
