I am sorry that you are full of cold. That always makes life harder - it will certainly be harder to get some exercise in, and harder to resist the food temptations that we all meet.

Well done for being so controlled at the birthday party. It is a major success when you go to one of those and are not punished at the scales - at least in the short term. You can be really proud of yourself.

If the weather is too poor to walk - Mal may have a point when she recommends seeking an "alternate form of cardio". Since Mal is an expert who has already achieved what I aspire towards by way of weight loss - maybe we should all follow her advice.:rotflmao:

Back from the dead on halloween!

Well the cold really kicked in yesterday. I ended up calling into work and staying in bed until 2pm! Not a fun day. When I did finally make myself get up and shower I ended up pigging out, why I don't know but that cold wanted food! In the end it was a bad decision cause it all came back on me:puke:

So I am back from the dead today on halloween had my norm for bfast and then had someone bring in cookies so I had one of those too. No walking the past two days and probobly wont be doing any today either.


Bfast:
2 slices whole wheat toast
2 pbs pb
1 pkg sugar
1 choc chip cookie

I am sorry that your cold has got worse. We all succumb to food temptations at such time. And gross events happen to us all one way or another.

I was ill with cold / flu - whatever - for a week in the springtime and did no walking. The main thing is that you pick it up again as soon as you are able. I actually lost as much that month as I did the month before.

You have got back into the swing of things today - and a cookie - although a little sinful is really not a big deal when you meet temptation and are below par.

Try to resist where you can - and forgive yourself when you succumb.

I hope that you are feeling much better soon - and am sure that these minor lapses will not hold you back at all. I was stunned when this was the case for me in the spring.

Sorry you've got a cold!! I'm starting to feel a little congested myself which will not be good if I end up with a cold for my trip to Disney! :ack2:

Halloween was lots of fun my 3 yr old nephew dressed as Elvis--so cute, he even graced us with some of the king's moves! Lots of fun was had he enjoyed giving out the candy as much as getting it. AND I only had 3 1/2 pieces--woo hoo!!! That's saying something for me!

Anyway today has been good got in a walk @ lunch and I am going to try to squeeze in another before I leave work.

Bfast- (Oh side note--I sooooo wanted to a donut!)
2 slices whole wheat toast
2 tbps pb
1 tsp sugar
Coffe w/hazelnut creamer

Lunch: Wendy's Chicken Ceasar Salad
Small Chili
Small Apple
16 oz Water

You have done well to get back into the swing of your weight loss project after being sick.

You are being good with your food - and indeed you did well to both not have a doughnut and to be moderate with the candy. Halloween was a challenge for us all.

You are also back to walking to.

I'm BACK!

Good morning all you beautiful people!

I had a very long weekend full of family, friends and lots of wedding cake! My BIL got married this weekend and we had a blast! Got to see lots of family and friends we havn't seen for a long time. Kind of got off track so I am working on getting back into the swing of things today. Yesterday I was just pooped out & didn't do any excersise and ate mostly comforts foods I must admit:svengo:

I think I must be getting close to TOM cause I am soooo hungry for carbs. That's usually how it goes when I am nearing that time. It is just 11:30 & I have already eaten lunch!! Oh well I will blame that on the time change:willy_nilly: Here's the list so far.

Bfast: 2 slices whole wheat toast
2 tbsp pb
1 pkg sugar
1 hot cocoa

Lunch: Publix Ham & Cheese Sub on wheat
1 serving Baked lays sour cream & onion
3 hershey kisses

That's about it for today. I am going to try to take my lunch break to walk off some of these carbs I've been pigging on!!

I am pleased that you enjoyed the wedding. Everyone lets diets slip at such events - it is hardly a surprise that you have.

TOM is a time when everyone feels a little sorry for themselves. It will not be helping you to refocus. And we all splurge at times.

I do hope that you have managed to persuade yourself to get out for that walk. I am convinced that it will help you to refocus on where you want to be and what you need to do to get there.

I find that walking is wonderful for helping to clear the mind. Good luck.

She's Baaack

Good morning,
Hope everyone has been doing well. I am gonig to try to get out there and catch up on everyone's diary today. I have been MIA for a while due to some sickness but I am back on the mend now. My eating has been pretty good my excersice has been off due to feeling bad, but that happens. I am going to try to restart my daily walk today at lunch.
The good news is I got great reports from both my endocrinologist & my GYN. My blood pressure was down to 117/74 & I had not even taken my meds for that day yet!:hurray:My GYN said she was more than impressed about my weight loss and blood pressure. Advised me to keep it up and come back in 2 mos then we will do some blood work and start tracking ovulation to try & get me preggo. :party:
I had my official weigh in today & I am down 1lb....woohoo. I have also lost an inch in my waist & 1/2 in my hips. So all in all life is good right now. Brrrr we had a chilly start this morning here in Florida! I love the cold weather. Hope everyone is having a happy Friday.
